    Default new build

Im new to the game but familiar with dungeons and dragons on table top. Im having a hard time laying my build out for progression to what I hope will eventually be endgame content. I normally play divine classes but I am looking for something new. does anyone have any suggestions for a build that can still do relatively well in its role.

Hi and welcome. When you start DDO (Free to Play?) you have limited options but there are still some nice starter builds.

F2P have following classes available: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Sorcerer and Wizard. For a first lifer (you are going to have to read up about past lives, reincarnation, and more) levels 1-20 are called Heroic levels and 21-30 are called Epic levels. For Epic levels there are some very nice (not free) things called Epic Destinies.

For an easy to level, fun build that can do reasonable/competent damage (in DDO gear/items play a huge role in improving stats and damage, so you will pick up better items the longer you play) I would suggest Wizard Palemaster. A DDO blogger called STRIMTOM (and there are others) posts good reliable builds and often takes into consideration builds for first lifers.

Look under the "Update 42 - Masterminds of Sharn" section to find his PM build.

Join a GUILD. In general the DDO community is a friendly and helpful one.

    And good luck!

EDIT... what LiveFast wrote is also true, Paladin would be a fine choice too.
