Default Is augment deslotting not working or am I a moron?

I tried to pull an augment off an item today. When I put the item in the green augment block on my inventory page I could only see empty slots, not the occupied ones. How can I deslot or reslot an item?

If it's an oldschool one that hasn't been updated, click on one of the legacy deslotters, then drop the item into the box that opens.

I should have thought of that. It did work. The only thing is that the item was a Jeweled Cloak I pulled yesterday after the update. I guess that items that come with augments in them aren't getting the new augments.

FWIW, you can now feed a Jeweled Cloak to your Sentient Weapon for a copper piece.

    Thanks for the help.

No, but the removers for old augments can be bought from the Cannith Crafting vendors. They cost a copper. Once the augment is removed, the J cloak is a level 23/23/25 named item depending on whether it's EN, EH, or EE. The item without the augment can be fed.

    Default Just sayin'

You could take all those heroic taps from Orcahrd and trade for the Minos and unslot, keep augment, and then feed to weapons.

Several Epic GH items can drop with insightful +2 augments, which you can unslot for a copper. And these augments now give +5 insightful bonus, despite what their name and description says.
