    Default November 17th Patch broke my Launcher ?!?

    Hi,
    I downloaded this morning patch and logged in the game. all was fine.
    I log off to have breakfast. I try relog and this is what the game shows me:

    I seem to have issues uploading my pictures ****

    It tells me: Where is the Game Client Executable?
    And I have a Failed Patch message.

    Plz help me.

    Did you try to repair?
    every patch screws up my launcher. I have to repair e.v.e.r.y time.

    I also had same problem after loading Nov 17 update
    Game launcher wants to know what file to open and then will not open from game launch file
    tried the repair mod and it did nothing
    Please help!

    You're going to have to chose launch dndclient_awesomium.exe instead of the game launcher. This has happened to me in both Lord of the Rings Online and D&D. It happened in a previous patch with Lords and at that time disabling the x64 client fixed it but it doesn't seem to help this go around.
    It feels every time they patch now they are pushing me more and more from playing the game, I shouldn't have to monkey around like this just to launch a game in windows.
    Oh and you may need go make an exemption for your game launcher executable with your anti virus program. I use Kaspersky and whatever they are doing lately really bugs it.

    I am going to guess you might be being hit with the Kaspersky antivirus issue discussed elsewhere, where your antivirus improperly flagged your dndclient.exe and quarantined it. Make sure dndclient.exe is located in your DDO installation folder, and if necessary, add it to Kaspersky's exclusion list per their instructions: https://support.kaspersky.com/13971#block1

    I'm having the same problem, my kaspersky has deemed my ddo exe a hazardous dangerous bad juju object, need to slaughter a goat and dance naked in a russian blizzard around a camp fire to solve it.

    Question is why is it hit now, before this update didnt have this problem. We shouldnt have to DIY an exclusion.

    Your antivirus simply deletes/quarantines your DDO executable file, that's why the launcher does not see it and asks you to choose it manually.
    Solution: add you DDO folder to your antivirus' exceptions list (link in Cordovan's post).

    Side note: I wonder what SSG put into code to make my Kaspersky think it's a malware...

    Yes we can close this thread this is a Kaspersky issue related.

    I found out I needed put ddo into kaspersky exclusions to play again. a lot have had this issue.
