    Incorrect. A level 10 wizard does not have infinite spell points. Tell that to the level 10 Celestial Pact warlock using the basic eldritch blast with the electric element. A typical level 10 wizard only have 480 spell points without equipment according to the DDO wiki.

    This is really a tricky question. Has the level 10 wizard learnt any electric based spells? Does the level 10 wizard has enough spell components for the electric based spells like the DOT Eladar's Electric Surge (which is comparable to the Lightning Bolt)?

    Assume everything is enough in theory;

    480/20 * (500/100) * (4/10) * 1.3 = 62 houses/year then the wizard needs to drink and rest for mana recovery, probably 8+ hours if we are talking D&D time. Not to mention that the wizard can only hold up to 1000 DDO spell components of the same spell level at a time and then he will need to stop casting the spell and run to the store.

    EDIT: I may be incorrect myself. It might be more mana efficient to summon air mephits (but not Air Elementals, since that one is too high level), and have the pet powering the grid; and the pet lasts for 10 minutes instead one off; remembering how House Lyrandar power their airships with Air Elementals instead of hiring wizards for the job.

    Default How much electricity could a level 10 wizard provide to a power grid?

    Enough to lightly toast bread - Or burn it to a crisp. 6 of one or 1/2 dozen of the other

    They could provide a lot of electricity to a power grid, like let's say 42 standard lightnings. But why should a wizard to that instead of going power crazy and absorbing as much electricity from the grid as possible?

    Depends if he has a SP/AC converter... Spell Points to Alternative Current. If not, then nada.

    about the size of a small house for an hour - though it can kill a large giant with wet diapers - obviously the grid is bigger than an archfey can light - that is a lot of juice even for a major magic junky.

    Where do you think they get their power from? You should see my utility bill after a raid.

    This is very true. But honestly, to study for years only to waste your magic (aka SP) powering a power grid, doesn't seem canon for a wizard.

    Never as much as a barbarian using a bike-powered generator.

    Theoretically, limitless, although it takes a lot of magic and a healthy dose of Munchkinliness. Here's how.

    Step 1: Have a planescaller teleport the power grid to Lammania. (Very important.)
    Step 2: Use the spell Summon Monster III, summoning an Air Mephit.
    Step 3: The air mephit will remain friendly to you for 10 minutes. Command it to use its shocking grasp spell on the grid, telling it something cool will happen if it does. (Mephits, according to the PnP lore, are very curious; this is a good way to keep the generator going after the control wears off.)
    Step 4: After 10 minutes, the air mephit will return to its home plane... Lammania. Which it's already in. In other words, it's not going anywhere. (I can't find a rule anywhere that says you can't summon creatures from a plane you're on. The power of the Munchkin is with me.)
    Step 5: Summon another mephit. Repeat process until your grid has enough power.

    With a decent Charisma stat and a lot of time, voila! Infinite energy.
