Default Let me upgrade my expansions :D

So, I recently came back to the game and got the Feywild expansion (standard) when I hit level 5. I got the Standard one cause I wasn't sure what to expect.

Well, I love it, so I wanted to drop more money to support the dev AND to get the extra skill tree because clearly, I was going to be playing a lot.

Turns out I can't. Support told me that's impossible to do. This seems exceptionally strange to me, so here's my feedback, I guess!

(Also, do the skill trees end up showing up on the normal ddo ingame market eventually, or are you really 100% locked out of them unless you bought that exact version of the expansion?)

Well now that blows. I was under the impression you could upgrade expansions by contacting support as well.

I was planning on buying the basic package, then upgrading to the medium later when money was a little less tight. May have to just hold off if it turns out they cannot be upgraded.

As far as the tree, previous universal trees have both become available in the store and been available via favor in the past.

I was under that impression, too! Based on what I read in threads on the forums - which is why I felt confident I could just go ahead and give it a shot. But apparently, that is no longer the case. Or I got a customer support person who didn't want to bother. Who knows. I can't find anything anywhere on an official stance on this, so I took what they told me at face value.

Thanks for the info on the universal tree. That's nice. I mean, I hope I will still be playing by then. Probably will. Maybe. Hopefully.

There have been posts about people upgrading expansions through CS before but those would have been bought through DDO Market. Fey is done mostly through Daybreak so options for upgrading might not be possible anymore as the process is out of SSG's hands. Just a guess given how the expansion is purchased.
    My Toons:
DWP - Fighter, Olur Takun - Barbarian, Perddy Elfie - Artificer, Tamqil Jemhar - Ranger

I have at least 3 different expansions that i would be willing to upgrade from standard to ultimate if SSG will credit me the difference of the standard cost towards the ultimate, or at LEAST give me the equivalent DDO points difference. otherwise I feel like I'm overspending, and probably won't do it. I know I'm not the only person in this boat. SSG is missing out on thousands of dollars if they are not allowing this.
