Male Shifter: Animation T pose, when using crossbows

[Ordinary]

While performing a Shifter life I saw a T pose repeatedly used during crossbow use.

Race: Shifter
Gender: Male
Equipped Item: Heavy crossbow

Note that this was an inquisitive build, but the T pose only appears before you take the "Dual shooting" option, so the T pose occurs when firing in normal (none dual shooter mode).

3D Human-shaped models default stance with no animations active is usually arms straight out, which makes the model kind of look like a T. It's a common enough practice that the term "T-Pose" emerged sometime in the noughties.

Seeing a T-Pose in game is usually due to a bug.

Display bug: Shifter True Hunter icon tooltip in the buff bars states that it grants Freedom of Movement. This was removed from release compared to the Lamannia build.

True Hunter's Freedom of Movement was removed in one of the previews, but it returned in the final build/notes/tooltip and should be working.

I will have to double check then, but at least 1 thing is out of step. Either the tree entry text which doesn't mention FOM is wrong, or the buff tooltip is which does.

Yes the Freedom of Movement works and is awesome! So glad I found this post because I though it wasn't supposed to be there and it be a mistake that I have it. However, when you go to the enhancement tree it does not state true hunter gives Freedom of Movement.

Hey thanks for pointing this out!
There was a problem with blending for the regular crossbow idle animation.
It's easy to notice because TPOSE.
The fix should show up in the next patch--yay!

You're welcome to not fix that one, I quite liked it for the purposes of showing off the new armour details/weapon choices.

Given shifter with a crossbow is so far off meta, I was hoping nobody would discover it for a while - forgot people use inquis to grind every racial still.

I figure it was a good place to mention that female shifters seem to be using psion power to hold their quarterstaves.
This seems to occur with all QS, bit only tested with these few: chief spear, elemental bloom, bonebreaker, guthias, spear of the mournland and the eclipse itself.
