Can a Bladeforged with a Quarterstaff as a favored Weapon?

Sounds to me like the Lord of Blades respects you, and would like you to use his weapon as if it were your own, given that he recognizes you as his follower. I'd be proud, I hear he's a really standoffish guy.

There should be straight forward description somewhere along the lines. Not everyone is good at "what the author had on it's mind by putting this kind of description", especially foreigners with weaker understanding of english. For every other (well almost) weapon enhancement we have a clear state (doubtless) what it does.

I like the flavor text on the spear, but think it should also have a line saying what it does mechanically. Otherwise how are people going to know it's actually working right.

That stunning sonic effect the LoB has with his Spear/Q-Staff is pretty neat. A lesser version of it would have fit perfectly on our version.

I must admit that I would not read that flavor text as "You gain this as your favored weapon". Not sure what I would even expect to happen from that text.

By paying attention to something other than dice and numbers for five minutes would be my guess! It seems pretty obvious, it's emphasized, and very lore friendly.. As said elsewhere, this is the kind of flavor that makes MMOs and worlds fun and interesting, rather than just endless grind for bigger numbers.

Normally you'd be right for MMOs in general, but this one is special because its a D&D MMO...the language of D&D has always had naked mechanics interwoven into it. Having an effect explicitly laid out wouldnt be counter-immersive, its increasing the immersion into a D&D style play experience.

Yeah sure, you may now have the Silvanus' Blessing, but don't expect to actually receive the benefit from the Blessing of Silvanus.
Duh.
Now go ask Devs why "Favor of the Lord of Blades" makes the weapon favored, but "Silvanus' Blessing" doesn't let you benefit from the Blessing of Silvanus.
