    Thumbs down Precision and shifter

I took precision with my ranger shifter build and I cannot use whilst i shifter stance !
Whilst it has rage synergy it is not a rage so why am I being penalised?
Is this wai if so even less point going ranger with shifter as it is I have glug a ton of less res pots continuously. All pointless imo.

sorry to be "that guy" but...

Beasthide Shifter: Passive: +1 CON. Active: Activate this Shifter ability to shift your form, granting you a +4 Rage bonus to Armor Class and Constitution, a +2 Morale bonus to Fortitude saves, and a -2 penalty to Wisdom. When the form ends, however, you will lose the hit points granted to you by increased Constitution and become fatigued. Your form will last for 30 seconds plus an additional amount of time based on your Constitution. You can prematurely end your form by using the Dismiss Rage feat. This shares charges with Barbarian's Rage feat, and anything that grants bonuses while Raging will grant bonuses with this. Shifting your form in this way prevents Spellcasting.

Wildhunt Shifter: Passive: +1 WIS. Activate this Shifter ability to shift your form, granting you a +4 Rage bonus to Wisdom and Dexterity, a +2 Morale bonus to Will saves, and a -2 penalty to Strength. When the form ends, however, you will become fatigued. Your form will last for 30 seconds plus an additional amount of time based on your Constitution. You can prematurely end your form by using the Dismiss Rage feat. This shares charges with Barbarian's Rage feat, and anything that grants bonuses while Raging will grant bonuses with this. Shifting your form in this way prevents Spellcasting.

also, shifter get the feat dismiss rage.

sorry but it is crystal clear that it's a rage.

wiki also state:Shifting is very similar to Barbarian Rage, and as such, it prevents the use of the Precision feat and some defensive stances (stalwart and sacred defender).

    obviously.

I know but it sucks !
I still think there is synergy with rangers but by having it as a range it is very limiting to what you would play a shifter as.

Can generally get about 88% bypass easily as a ranger without precision! So comes to is the 25% worth it vs say +4 dex/wis, +7 to-hit/damage(magic fang), another favored enemy (currently only way to get Fey)

I’m now on my third OP shifter life as a pure, STR-based tempest ranger. I completely ignore the shift and don’t even have it on my hot bars, because actually the best thing about shifter is that Magic Fang works on equipped weapons, and it scales up to 30 (and not 20). Btw, I only use precision and enjoy up to 120% fort bypass at cap when dungeon scaling warrants.

Unless you plan on being some meathead that doesn’t cast spells, shifting (and spending AP on enhancements that improve it) are pretty much a complete waste of time.
