U48 Preview 2: 10/21 - 10/23

Hello, all! Preview 2 of Update 48 is expected to open in the afternoon (Eastern) of Wednesday October 21st! It is expected to remain open until sometime in the afternoon (Eastern) of Friday October 23rd. There will be a dev event on Thursday October 22nd from 8-10 PM Eastern where members of the DDO team will be available to collect feedback and answer questions in real time on Lamannia.

This preview is expected to contain the following features:

• New Content
  
  • 13 New Dungeons
  • New Wilderness Adventure Area
  • New Public Area
• New Named Loot
• Augments Revamp

In addition to those primary features it also contains the following miscellaneous changes and bugfixes:

Character

• Male Shifters now properly use Fiddle animations for Bard Songs with a fiddle equipped.
• Bard: Swashbuckler: Different Tack no longer has its erroneous Single Weapon FIghting prerequisite

Items

• Tier 1 Sonic Legendary Alchemical crafting now properly applies sonic and instead of electric.
• The Legendary Alchemical Tower Shield is now actually a Tower Shield
• The legendary alchemical scimitar now works with the crafting station

Miscellaneous

• Chat: Improved how guild and guild officer chat is handled on the backend. This should greatly improved how quickly guild chat is available after a world restart and how fast it recovers after a reconnection between the game servers and chat server.
• Chat: Text chat messages sent to general, advice, trade, party, guild, guild officer, or player created chat rooms will now be displayed to you after they go to the chatserver and back. This means that if you are not connected to the chatserver, it won't look like you are chatting with your guild, for example, when you are only really chatting with yourself.

Known Issues

• There are armor appearance issues for a number of races in this build preventing many armor's from displaying on the character.
