When I run out of xp potions or slayers boosts, I buy more. I buy inventory slots for my alts (and even a couple of times for bank characters).

I have no problem giving them money.

I don't give them a ton of money for basically nothing.

Micro-transactions is the way to go... 400 DDO points here and there, 1400 now and then... Oh, I'm getting low? Buy some more when double-points sale comes up... they make money from me.

One large $130 transaction where I get basically nothing I want? No thanks.

Sure, lots of people like cosmetics, so they are getting something they want.

Not sure why they couldn't make more of us happy though instead of just one group.

$40 gives you pre-access to an (will be) easily unlockable tree and a mount
+$50 gives you a bunch of cosmetics and 1500worth of TP for an iconic.

Or you could put that $90 toward a double bundle $100 pack for 19,000 TP or whatever it is. Buy the iconic, buy the tome. And be up 15,000 TP.

This is why Lynnabel was so opposed to removing cha tohit/dmg form FI. Wanted to make it so OP people have to get the collectors pack for an early unlock to stay "competitive". Then they can cheap out on all the other stuff and be golden.

Anyone else disappointed that it only has 13 quests? Versus Sharn's 17, and I don't raid but I'm willing to bet the reduction from 2 raids to 1 isn't going to make many customers happy.

There's nothing to compare to the Dimensional Augment Bag (super-duper useful) in Sharn, Ravenloft had extra Shared Bank Storage. A hireling folder per character for those of us that buy the top package and have all these perma-hires would have been aces here and wouldn't be all that new of tech either.

And no new Weapon Auras? But, but... Glitter Sparkles?! Come on, they already made a new aura for the Shadow Weapon imbue... I can't believe they didn't go the extra step to make it a cosmetic bonus item.

Ravenloft only has 12 quests TBF I'm also definitely expecting they'll release a 2nd raid later (like PN for Sharn).

Sounds to me like the DDO store already has enough items for those who enjoy paying to temporarily mitigate a permanent arbitrarily higher XP rate per sliver of character power gained - and when you run out, you just buy more of the same.

The game needs more items which do not add anything to character power, which people will pay for.

Your honesty is appreciated. I just really think SSG missed the ball on the bundles they released. If you remove every cosmetic from the last 3 Ultimate bundles that were released with the last 3 expansions and just compare what's left I think you'll see that this release of fables of feywild is a bit lackluster..

Anybody know what the Tome of Destiny does? Is it +1 point in each Epic Destiny? (Since you can only have 1 Epic Destiny at a time)

I believe ED will be like enhancements/repaer enhancements after the rework so You start with an extra point.

This one is a pass for me, at least until I can get it with points. Maybe if they did a bit of hype about the actual quests and systems rather than just dangling power creep in front of us. I know Pay-2-win is old news, but $130 for the new meta build (cha to hit/dmg) and raw power creep tome of destiny? I guess this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I could stomach it when I thought they were really trying to make a great game and communicating with us during the Ravenolft period, but it's been a slow downhill ever sense both in terms of quality of content and the quality of the interaction with the devs.

Maybe I just need a break, maybe I'm at a point in life where playing an MMO doesn't really make sense, or maybe the product really has gone down hill. It's not even really about the money which isn't a problem, I just feel like I'm getting bilked and treated like a junkie.

This company must be doing very, very well. They don't make an effort for the money of all these people having problems literally trying to give them money. Plus the fact they don't communicate here on the forums, but instead we get second hand info that they might've said something somewhere? And then the whole Daybreak name popping up now. That word is a bad word as far as I am concerned. I am not happy to see SSG get closer in any way, whether real or perceived, to that company. New raids getting completed on Reaper on day one, with low deaths in under 30 mins, New sparks dropping like mad, but probably gonna get "fixed"

Imma hold off and wait and see.

I must echo the disapppointed comments above; if possible these bundles are even worse than the RL and Sharn ones and I passed on those too despite hoping there was a reason for me to purchase them...ddo point purchase is faaaar more rewarding. When I bought MOTU, even Shadowfell, the bundles made it feel like christmas morning as a little boy, whilst all the others are more akin to getting those annoying sales cold calls during dinner time!
I know that this year has scuppered a lot of plans but the lack of hype / info on the content means my lack of interest in the bundles is now coupled with a lack of interest in the content; hopefully they will remedy that a little over the next few days / weeks.
This is exacerbated by the fact we know we have a level cap increase and an ED re-work round the corner but know nothing about the specifics...

I was very excited to check out the Feywild pre-order packages, but I'm sorry SSG... as much as I love the game, I'm not paying for mere cosmetics and other inventory sinks. I'm disappointed with these packages, and I was ready to purchase the ultimate bundle. Now I'm just left with a bitter taste in my mouth. When you pull back, I pull back. Should I continue my VIP membership? Should I continue to purchase DDO points? Are we looking at a game with diminishing returns on investment?

I hope you'll reconsider your offerings. It would do much to not only restore my faith, but unleash my wallet as well.

I dont care about cosmetics, kikoo lol mounts etc...Destiny tome is nice, we ll find it soon in shop, tree is potentially the new hipe but i can wait, there is no pvp in that game, no need to be competitive...

In those times ( ... ) you should add boxes, pots etc...

Again SSG, it costs you nothing to produce goodies in top package... it's only pixels...And with that you could reward players that " support " the game instead of scamming em at the point, as said previously, they gift you as charity...

So stupid...Like often...Lots of people want to give you money...but you r stupid so money stay in their pockets instead of yours...

My question would be: How is a tome of destiny different than the already existing tomes of fate? If they don't stack, that's a massive disincentive to get the ultimate pack.

Ravenloft and Sharn ultimate packs did have a fair amount of stuff to recommend them over the medium grade pack. I'm not seeing it this time around.

Epic Bard Hireling - Don't care, waste of inventory space.
Razorclaw Shifter Iconic - Nice to be sure, but I have DOZENS of lives to run before then, plenty of time to get store points and get it in a year. Or three.
Eladrin Cosmetics - Don't care, waste of 3 inventory spaces.
Displacer Beast cosmetic pet - Don't care, but at least it doesn't waste an inventory space.
Black Unicorn Mount - Don't care, the White one is in the medium pack, and I already have a horse. Waste of inventory space.
Teleport to Feywild - Ok? But convenience at best.
Tome of Destiny +1 - Might be good, more info needed.

Spending $50 to occupy 6 inventory slots sounds like a really bad deal to me. Those 6 inventory slots are worth more than all of those items could ever be.

Looking at the editions, the medium pack doesn't look so great either.

Feydark Illusionist Tree - Potentially useful for those pure Charisma builds and whatnot. I assume that like Inquisitive and Vistani, it will be attainable via favor in Feydark, so this is valueless.
Character Slot - I already have enough of those.
Feywild Cosmetics - Waste of 3 inventory slots.
White Unicorn - I already have a horse. Unless this is MASSIVELY (not just slightly) faster or provides some other benefit like being more difficult to be dismounted by rando attacks in the wilderness, it is useless.
Cosmetic Pet - All cosmetic pets are a waste.
Heroic Bard Hireling - Would need to see an ability list of this hireling, but odds are it will not be very useful above what I can get with platinum (or perm gold seals I already have).

So that leaves the basic pack. Feywild and Shifter - I already have Epic Destinies, I really hope that they are not billing us for that.

I agree with this ^^^ I'll probably wind up buying the basic pack, but I'm going to wait until info on the loot, quests etc comes out on Lamania. I would assume there would be nothing that op in the new loot as the level cap isnt going to be raised at this time, so it may be focused towards the new race which i'm not sure i even care about. So, I'll probably just buy the basic pack to help support the game.

Leaving out the clipping problem, that's still a really bad looking Unicorn. Not just the beard - the mane is bad too. That's really awful looking.

It's against forum rules to be mean to SSG staff, so I won't say anything about the art department, but I will say 1) I hope the black unicorn is better and 2) I hope that they fix the white unicorn at some point.
