It would be nice if they implemented a setup that allowed at least 1 bag or each type (collectable, gem, hirelingfolder, ect) to be placed in a separate area on the inventory section. Like cosmetics have. Just one for each type. That would free up a fair amount of inventory slots.
However, this might prove to be a bigger undertaking then they wish to work on. Like you said, we need some sort of BAG for the bags......for sure.

As others have said, you can summon them wherever. They pull levers, yadda.
There is only one truly universally useful hireling and that's Elieri from the Starter Pack. Why you ask? She's only level 3! Yes, but she has Divine Vitality. She's basically a rest shrine on a 5 minute timer that you can summon wherever you are, dismiss, then summon again.
Also, she can stand on pressure plates and pull levers.
Don't bet on it.
Anyone else disappointed that it only has 13 quests? Versus Sharn's 17, and I don't raid but I'm willing to bet the reduction from 2 raids to 1 isn't going to make many customers happy.
There's nothing to compare to the Dimensional Augment Bag (super-duper useful) in Sharn, Ravenloft had extra Shared Bank Storage. A hireling folder per character for those of us that buy the top package and have all these perma-hires would have been aces here and wouldn't be all that new of tech either.
No Mirrors of Glammering?! Why?
And no new Weapon Auras? But, but... Glitter Sparkles?! Come on, they already made a new aura for the Shadow Weapon imbue... I can't believe they didn't go the extra step to make it a cosmetic bonus item.
For once, I'm not sure that I want the top package... the white unicorn comes with the middle package. What does the Winter Eladrin look like on a female character?

Before ----------- BEFORE----------- you get a pre-order from me, you
need to clearly state what I would get unlocked immediately vs what stays locked until release date.
no early unlocks ... no early money (no exceptions)

PB's done a thread on it here. (Although on a female Gnome only at this time)

Thelanis: Pocket-Monks: Sightblur, Peashoote, Jigglypath, Jedinja.
Invisible Fences, unkillable Target Practice Dummy's, Shared Bank's, Pale Lavender Ioun Stones, the dimensional barrier between Eberron and Shavarath, I've broken them all...
Things are very odd when Aelonwy doesn't want cosmetics :P

Its not so much that I don't want cosmetics as... is one set of helm/armor/cloak, and a black in addition to white unicorn mount worth $50 to me.
In the past the top bundle has also come with extra Mirrors, weapon auras, and additional goodies like Shared Bank Space or Dimensional Augment bag that give it added value to me, and while I don't often purchase such things as Astral Shards and XP pots I do see them as additional value as well.
This time the top package looks so... anemic. Its like they're testing the waters to see how little they can put in and still get bites. Like when the box of cereal you always get at the grocery has stayed the same price but you notice the weight has gone down 5 ounces. I just don't think at this time... I feel like the top package is worth that extra $50. *shrug* So they'll only get $80 from me this time. *shrug again*

I like to play it, so I give them money so I hope it can continue. If we all withheld our cash in hopes of something "better" coming, I'm pretty sure there'd have been no DDO for a while now.
Altruistic? I'm not doing this for anyone else but me. I love DDO. I want to play it for a long time still. So they get my money.
There are things I had hoped they would do better, and things I still hope they'll do better, but at the end of the day it comes down to if I like playing DDO or not. I do, so they get money.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.
I would normally buy the ultimate pack but I am going to wait to see what the dungeons are like. I love hirelings and use them each life, but again we get more and more stuff that takes space in my limited bank slots two mounts two hirelings, cosmetic outfits etc.
Depending on the dungeons, this may be the first expansion that I may pass on.
That is fair.
SSG/Turbine has shown more "value" in their bundles in the past. So I know they have the ability to put better thought, quality and all around value into a game that players pay money for. Yes, you can spend money on this game with the hopes that it will keep the lights on and the servers up and running, because spending money on the game might actually keep the game going longer. And by the transitive property because we enjoy the game, by spending money, this will make our enjoyment last longer.
But anytime you see a post about "supporting the game", it is makes me think it is just another player loosing touch. We are hooked, and like a good drug we accepted the first ones for free (the quality and high value), but now with the hook in, we players are willing to throw money at something that is not as high quality, and not as high value.
But don't worry. It is ok. It is ok. We are just doing it to support the game.

I give them money for stuff.
When I run out of xp potions or slayers boosts, I buy more. I buy inventory slots for my alts (and even a couple of times for bank characters).
I have no problem giving them money.
I don't give them a ton of money for basically nothing.
Micro-transactions is the way to go... 400 DDO points here and there, 1400 now and then... Oh, I'm getting low? Buy some more when double-points sale comes up... they make money from me.
One large $130 transaction where I get basically nothing I want? No thanks.
Sure, lots of people like cosmetics, so they are getting something they want.
Not sure why they couldn't make more of us happy though instead of just one group.
I have a VIP subscription so I give them money to keep the game on (but only because I get stuff for being VIP - if VIP just gave you cosmetics, I wouldn't do it either).
