Sorry what does the term 'afterparty' means for those of us who played for the first time in hardcore?

The leaderboards are now closed, and you have until Nov 3rd to transfer your characters (afterwhich the server is closed and wiped for the next HCL). You can still log on to get your Dice rolls, and I think you can still run quests - just for no leaderboard progress. I'm not sure if you can still earn rewards, as I've never done so after the "end" of the server.

I'm going to wait a bit and see if the transfers from HCL to other servers stabilize/normalize before attempting it. So, a month is a good amount of time to hopefully stomp all the bugs that need stompin' in that area.

We stopped doing that, sorry. We could bring it back maybe in the future if enough people wanted, but it ended up being too long of a list to easily publish, and didn't really seem to have much value.

Well, if the list was THAT long, then it's at least understandable that you didn't want to do such a long list.

Not that I like it too much, but I can understand it. If a list was too long, I wouldn't want to do it, either.

maybe setting a higher bar could make it more worthwhile? like a list of everyone who made it to 20, thus completing a heroic life? I would enjoy that, personally.

I just had an idea.

I wonder how big the list would be of every character having reached level 5 and still be living at the end of the Season ?

I guess that this list would be much smaller ...


( The most dramatic thing i saw was the death message about an unfortunate soul being killed during the Afterparty ... I think it was last Friday ... )

Lol, and add in the Swarming Gnats from the Borderlands Slayer area. That one made me say, “what, are we even trying anymore?” Lol Well, I’m sure having said that I’ll be the target of a rare crit from an Uber gnat on the next HCL.

To transfer my dead character to a live server, I assumed that I would use the Transfer button on the launcher. However, on the Character Transfer Wizard, the Select World screen doesn't list the Hardcore server.

So how do I do it?

The Hardcore Server Transfer has been disabled because a small minority of players couldn't transfer off the server due to some glitch. Refer to the following: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/518754. So now I have two remaining Characters currently stranded on the Hardcore server until they decide to re-enable Transfers. I was planning in transferring one of them this week and the other later this month. Personally I've never had any issues with the Transfer function working.
