Dear Devs -
As augment changes are underway in some way, shape or form, I would humbly request the DDO Team consider 2 changes:
1. Could you please "unhook" the need to use collectables (crafting ingredients) to obtain random augments from NPC collectable Collectors. It is an overly expensive system (30/10/5) and too random to be relied upon. This leaves it as a trap for newer players in particular or a desperate gamble to lose rare collectables that are important for crafting.
2. I would suggest making all those gems and jewels we gather the substitute for collectables. They have always needed another use and this seems, to me, to be a nice niche for them. You could even make special augments available for the few "named gems" in the game (thinking of Dead Girl where you can get the Rose Diamond, I believe).

If this is not workable, I would ask the cost for augments from vendors be reduced (to 9/3/1, for example) and that you can choose the augment.
I appreciate the time to consider these proposals. I also appreciate any feedback or comments from my fellow Forumites, but please, keep it on the topic of augment suggestions. Thank you!
