    Default Ammunition rework

If the devs ever see the time right to work on ammunition, here is an approach I'd look into. Special ammunition is actually quite nice (basically free item traits for your bow), but just a hassle to use, which is why conjured arrows/bolts win out even without providing bonuses and the special conjured ammunition make some raid weapons highly sought after.

I believe the two major reasons why random ammo is kinda bad are 1.) a stack of 100 is quickly used, and 2.) that there is so much different ammunition, that organizing them becomes needlessly complicated.

Therefore, these would be my suggestions:
1.) Increase Stack size to 1000 (conjured bolts showed how well it can work)
2.) Delete the enhancement bonus (as it shouldn't stack with the bow afaik anyway and makes a different stack between +1 Flaming Arrows and +2 Flaming Arrows)
3.) Decrease the number of possible traits (elemental damage, weak but fine, especially if they don't scale due a lack of enhancement bonus. Do we need all the banes though?), so that we find the same kind of ammo more often, which in return increases the stacks we use anyway
4.) Make several of them buyable at a vendor, so that people can just buy them

I know, there are some more pressing matters, but after selling so much ammunition over the years without even looking at them, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

For the low, low price of 30 DDO Points you can get 100 regular arrows in the DDO Store!

Apparently you need short or longbow proficiency to even use them as well, what a helpful description!

Pity the poor newbie, spending their first granted ddo points thusly!

Meh, I just carry extra wide quivers and have to empty and sell them routinely. Would appreciate a sell all ammunition button, but whatever.

So you are using the +4 arrows of goblin bane and +2 flaming arrows you're finding in chests?

    Grant ALL ammo 100% returning.

Now, make ammo a normal chest drop, like a nice magical throwing weapon or other.
No more consumable ammo. Grandfather in the existing ammo, but, like guild augments, they'll slowly meet their end.

Now, when you find magical ammo, you get to look at its properties as if it was a piece of equipment you should consider.

As an off-shoot, and a potential penalty, since you're now shooting the same arrow over and over again, make it so they can take durability damage like any other weapon, including shooting at oozes or rust monsters. People that can summon hundreds at once can afford to lose a few along the way, so those abilities are still sorta relevant, even though they lose their "must-have" feel.

Bonus is now devs can think about nice named magical ammunition to add to quest loot.

    I sell those for plat.
I use +0 arrows/bolts sold by general vendors, until I have an option of using returning or conjured ammo

Agree. I guess the game currently goes for a "fantasy realism" approach but in the end it's just tedious for players and DDO isn't a "medieval fantasy sim sandbox MMO" anyway.

Even for people not using ranged, so many different ammunition drops are tedious. They fill up quivers fast. Using the "loot all" button is super convenient so I use it always. There aren't even any quivers that can have 10+ different and 1000 stacks.

Just bumping stack size again would be a great QOL change, and shouldn't be too horribly difficult to implement.

Bumping all quiver max stack amounts would be a nice addition to that.
