I'm always surprised at the scale of demanding people show.
I guess that this is the result of capitalism : "You get my money, you owe me something". Everything becomes reduced into something equal to a given sum of money.
No more lightheartedness, no humour, no belive in "that is a game" anymore.
"Gamers", as they call themselves, do not believe in "game" anymore. To them, "game" and "playfulness" simply does not exist anymore because everything has become "a value of money".
The next step will clearly be kindergarten kids demanding "something special" because their parents paid a fee for the kindergarten !
On a philosophical level, that will to rurn anything that is "a game" into something that equals "a value of money" is something ... I realize that i have predicted that years ago, albeit in another contect. My philosophical approach then was , that everything that is not considered "a game" anymore, but instead rather as "a tool to generate money", that this belief can be seen as a watermak through corporate decisions. How a game is treated - as a game or as a tool - shows like a watermark a corporation's decision.
On the other hand, the way "gamers" treat games can also be seen as a watermark : "Gamers" don't see daily dice rolls as a "game within a game" anymore - no ! The *demand" something from daily dice rolls !
It is as if I was betting with "El Gordo" in Spain, but when I lose - meaning I don't get anything - I'd DEMAND from the lottery that I'd be given something equal to the value of my money !
Meaning that "daily dice" is no more "dice", but instead "buying". The only difference in the minds of the "gamers" is this : "I buy something with the daily dice rolls but I just won't know what".
Buy vs. game.
Well, I'm thankful for not having lost my humour, then, and that I'm fully able to lAUGH over the - by other so-called - "junk" I get hrough those rolls !
This way, I'm staying young and be able to get myself surprised !
