unable to log into steam through DDO

few days ago i was able to buy ddo points just fine.
selected the amount, confirmed the zip code, that brought up a browser window, logged into steam. made the transaction. it closed the browser, and brought me back to ddo store refreshed and acknowledged the purchase

just now i tried to buy a 3 month subscription, i get as far as the DDO browser window and steam login, but after providing correct user/password it just refreshes me back to the same login page. i know that login is correct because deviating either the u or the p generates different and applicable error messages.
correct login just refreshes the page.

if this was a regular browser this sort of thing is usually solved with a cookie clearout.
is that something i can do here? how?

Steam wallet is currently not available, they're in the process of fixing it.
