Build request: Elf or Wood Elf TWF Paladin

Hello,

I'm a returning player and am a little lost with all the updates. I'd like to start playing again, mostly solo or in a 2-person party, and would like to run an elf or wood elf paladin with TWF. I know that's not an optimized combination, but I'd like to build my toon as optimally as possible within those constraints. Would anyone be willing to give me advice or help me with a build? I'm open to elf or wood elf, maybe leaning elf if the dragonmarks are decent these days.

I posted a human TWF paladin here which can be adapted to any race. Although KotC really favors 2H weapons right now so for a wood elf paladin, falchions would be a better choice with Faith of the Forest.

How many point build, what Tomes have you used?

I have a sort of Paladin Build that is okay to play but will need to be adjusted based upon what you want to do.

I have a 32 point build available and it’s a first life character, but I don’t mind springing for the cash for a cheap time or two (+1/+2).

I’m just gonna go ahead and ask on the front end whether the elf Dragonmarks are any good anymore and let you guys know that I also might need some advice regarding skill points. There have been so many updates since I last played that I don’t know what you really need in the world and what’s been needed.

I saw that thread I dig it. I was using it as a starting point. However, wasn’t so sure what to change if anything in the feats to get the most gas out of elven enhancements &/or Dragonmarks.

That's up to you. You lose a feat by going from human to non-human; you'll lose another feat if you take the Shadow Dragonmark. Also it costs 12 APs for Greater Shadow DM (Displacement), so you'd have to drop some APs from Sacred Defender and move them to racial tree. Glorious Stand is nice (+25 Healing Amp, +3 Lay on Hands charges, +10% Sacred Bonus to Max HP, +5 to Physical and Magical Resistance Rating), so you'll have to decide if giving up those bonuses is worth it for Displacement.

Or just do wood elf. You can use the same AP split (41/31/8) and put those 8 APs into the racial cores for +2 STR +6% Accuracy with one point left over for...I dunno Wild Step or something.

The use of Elven Dragonmarks (Dragonmark of Shadow) can be useful in the Heroics, but that experience doesn't necessarily apply in Epic or Reaper. YMMV. I find it more useful in a static group setting opposed to pugging.

The issue you will encounter is that it can be Feat and or AP sink to use.
