UPDATE: The game worlds have reopened.

The downtime has been extended until 3:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT).

The DDO game worlds will be brought down for maintenance on Wednesday, August 19th from 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT). This work will take longer than our typical weekly restart.

When the worlds reopen, all characters who were created on Wayfinder prior to 5:00 AM Eastern (-4 GMT) on Wednesday, July 15th will have in their inventory: One Heroic XP Stone that will grant 2 Million Experience when consumed (Bound to Character), one Improved Epic XP Stone that will grant 4 Million Experience when consumed (Bound to Character), and 50 Greater Elixirs of Discovery (Bound to Account).

And Thelanis characters will have a nice dose of "shut up and try to play whit channels not working and with double the manteinances than other realms just to achieve that", good thing all those manteinances fixed all the other problems the game has, oh wait, i just had a loading screen of doom crash and had to alt+f4, oh wait that broke my channels and friend list that i had to wait for TWO HOURS before they fixed themselves because the developers dont even tell us a way to fix them.

I play on Thelanis but see no equivalence to the admittedly significant disruption issues we faced and the utter debacle many Wayfinder players faced.

Hopefully this will help Wayfinder players and give some degree of recompense for what they've been through.

Just fixing the Thelanis issues will suffice, in my book anyway.

Turbine/SSG has never announced exploit fixes/banning tools when they introduce them.

K, this explains why Thelanis was screwed up. Lost my friend list and chat hasn't seemed to work correctly since last maintenance. I just started playing and been subbed but I hope this isnt the norm and am just joining during a rough patch. Hopefully UI scaling is added at some point but has been fun so far.

I wonder when will be fixed the bugs of iron defender of the artificer (pet is still when trying to climb stairs or something similar) and also that annoying situation, when the character is "surfing" stuck in some obstacle near a wall.

So, a couple of weeks ago we had extended downtime after maintenance because stuff was severely broken. Few days later we had restarts, then last week there was more downtime and now this week, woah, who would've thunk it, extended maintenance window. Seriously guys, *** is going on at Data Central? Is there going to be a period of extended playing time, ya know, that time when you get to login to the game and played uninterrupted, ya know without lag, broken chat, blank login screens that you have to alf-f4 and restart, DDO store where I have to relog when I use DDO store for the first time any day, and then have load issues. Are those what you are fixing? Then knock yourself out. Oh wait, nope, none of those things are erased.
