Default Self Patch error "x64/dndclient63.exe" , error 5: Access is denied

I was playing the game just fine last night. Today, I go to log in and there is this weird blue pixel display...like the graphics card changed to 4bit or something. Restarted the computer and everything was fine. Logged back in a few hours later and the same weird display came up. I restarted computer but, still didn't work. I clicked on launcher, it babbled something about test compatibility. Ever since then, it displays this error. I went to uninstall the game to reinstall and the game no longer even showed up on my program list.

I tried repairing, that didn't work but, it did allow me to uninstall. I've reinstalled the game twice and nothing is fixing the issue....

    Any ideas?

    Default Windows message ...?

This is normally a windows message that you have installed the program (or game in this case) in a directory where the "user" has no access. Either you can re-install it in an open directory (e.g. C:\games\ddo\...) or start the game with the administrator rights.

PS.: You can google and will see that a lot of people have this problem with other programs

Thanks for the advice. I've tried again as administrator to no avail. I'm currently trying one more reinstall. This time in my C drive...I had it in my G so, maybe that's it....though it's worked fine before.

Edit: For whatever reason, installing it on my C: Drive did work. I've had it installed on my G: drive for over a year.... but, whatever, at least I can play again.
