    Default Aasimar Scourge questions

Hi. I'm new to Aasimar but purchased it to combine with Falconry for a next-life monk (pretty good builds out there). I noticed Aasimar came with the "Scourge" Iconic option
Is the starter gear only if you accept the defaults to level 15? Or could you make other choices and still get the gear? I don't have any appropriate gear in the bank so the defaults look decent. I'm curious what other class choices people have made with Scourge. Would a +1 Lesser Heart of Wood let me completely re-spec the character (minus alignment/name)? Is the build 28pt (until I have unlocked 32)? Thank you

The starter gear becomes available at 15 regardless of what classes you use. It might not be good for whatever build you design, but you'll still get it.

I haven't seen a lot of Scourge multiclass builds recently. The Scourge enhancement line slightly favors melee, and a 6 Ranger for Tempest T5 has gotten a little less popular of late. If melee rangers multiclass, they occasionally splash Rogue (only, or in addition to something else), but you miss out on some skill points if you don't take Rogue as your first level, so Scourge isn't ideal for these. The most frequent one I see is Monk (12 Ranger / 6 Monk, usually) for either melee or range.

A +1 Lesser Heart *mostly* lets you respec the character, with a caveat. Since you can only have a maximum of 3 classes, you may have to adjust your level order slightly. In the case of a 8 Fighter / 6 Monk / 6 Cleric maul-wielder, for example, you wouldn't be able to take levels in one of your classes until you had changed out your Ranger level. In that case you'd have to be careful with your feat order, ensuring that you've planned out your character so that your build path accounts for this class ordering restriction

The build will be 28 points unless you have unlocked 32. If you've done so by the time you use +1 Lesser Heart (or a regular Lesser Heart), you'll get those extra build points upon LR.

I play an Aasimar Scourge that is 9-Monk/6-Ranger/5-Rogue. He uses longbows as his weapon of choice. I allowed the ranger to remain at level 1 instead of rogue as I did not want to have to use a +1 heart of wood. This character has good survivability and is pretty deadly.

    Level Order
    Monk – 9 levels / Ranger – 6 levels / Rogue – 5 levels
    1) Ranger 6) Ranger 11) Monk 16) Rogue
    2) Rogue 7) Ranger 12) Monk 17) Rogue
    3) Ranger 8) Ranger 13) Monk 18) Monk
    4) Monk 9) Ranger 14) Rogue 19) Monk
    5) Monk 10) Monk 15) Rogue 20) Monk
