    I second this...

I would buy a 120 buck expansion package in a heartbeat if it had something like this in it. (+8 or higher though.)

I have gotten 5000 favor well over a dozen times (these days I get over 6000 favor a life). You won't even notice yourself having to try to get 5000 favor. When heroic leveling you simply play those quests that have no epic option (i.e. quests that have a heroic level, but don't have any epic version). This saves all or most of the quests that do have an epic option for epic levels. Simply play only quests you have never ran before (which is always a good idea since you get first-time bonuses that way) and you will effortlessly get 5000 favor as you earn your two epic past lives.

That said, now is the time to get the +8 supreme tome. I earned a full set of +5 tomes and then later purchased a +8 supreme tome (the first and only stat tome I have ever purchased). While the extra +3 to each stat isn't huge, there is a lot of game that comes after level 11 when +5's stop increasing and you get some additional skill points to spend during your level ups if your intelligence continues to grow beyond level 11.

Someone made the point that +9 tomes are probably coming and they are right. That is indeed one the main reasons I never bought a stat tome in the past. They keep making newer ones with higher stats. But that philosophy means you will never buy a stat tome ever. I went 10 years without purchasing a stat tome and if I kept that mindset I would simply never buy one and never have higher stats. It's like never buying a cell phone of any kind ever because you know they will just make a better one each year. Eventually you give in and get a decent cell phone at a decent price. A supreme +8 stat tome will last you forever (you don't really need +9 or +10 tomes, especially since they won't kick in until level 25 and 28 most likely) and the +8 to all stats will serve you well.
Except that many quests are skipped for a reason, so skipping the massive xp quests like von 1-4 in heroics is not optimal, unless your main priority is favor rather than leveling. There are also huge benefits to doing those quests in heroics, it means when you get to 20 you can instantly hop into a VON r1 bb raid if there is one without needing to grab a party to flag for the raid. Ravenloft/sharn heroic sagas also flags you for two raids which you can instantly jump into when you hit 29 and can wear a full set of legendary gear, and the saga xp is nice.

If you are serious about getting a toon as strong as you can get it, buy this. Focus on reincarnations and not favor farming. This is permanent benefit for a bargain price. Focus on past lives instead. It’s a much better trade off. The only downside is that the +8 to +9 upgrade will cost much more when it comes out. But it’s still a steal. Get it.

A +9 or even +10 Supreme Tome will probably come out with, or shortly after, the next expansion. If past experience holds, the +9/+10 Supreme Tome will go on sale for 50% off about three months after it appears and remain the best for a year or two.

While a +8 Supreme Tome would offer my avatar a drastic power increase, I cannot justify the purchase given past experience. I will catch the new tome at the beginning of its release cycle, rather than this tome at the end of its cycle.
Never saw them on 50% sale. Sure those will be on sale after 3 month they release?

Can also be worth bearing in mind that a +X supreme tome is a single tome that upgrades all the stats, while a +X to +(X+1) upgrade tome doesn't add +1 to all the stats at once but gives 6 tomes that each give +1 to a single stat, meaning you could share it out among multiple characters & focus on having the primary stat maxed while the others simply aren't quite as high.
Good to know about +X to +(X+1)

Mainly run 15-30 for past lives and favor. Need favor to do purchases. I cant buy any points(using in game shop with double\triple bonuses) in my area, it is not supported by DDO here. Can only buy from DDO market - but I get only expansions there.
Actively playing on Cannith since 2018
    30+ PLs, 71 Reaper Points

I say yes, better than farming favor for +5 tomes and then trying to upgrade them, I'm sure when the level cap is raised there will be higher tomes, +9 probably and you could wait for that, but it will cost you full price for a+1 stat increase as opposed to half price for the +8. They always ad something better in the game as the levels progress and try to get you to pay the price. The ultimate choice is up to you.
