Game is ridiculous

First off, this is a bit of a vent.
I know we all love and want to play this game, but the state of it the past week is absolutely insane.

The fact is that a lot of us spend real money on xp pots among other things just to watch them tick away whilst the servers continue their death-spiral for yet another year. It is extremely tiresome. Seems like the only server with any LFMs is HC which you'd be silly to play at this point.

It's sad actually, because at the start of the covid shutdown it seemed like the game was getting new wings and a glut of new players.

No one wants to play a game that doesn't work.

Voting with your wallet doesn't really work on this scale. Its not like these guys are making some massive profit and getting lazy while lounging on mounds of coke. This is the game, its tiny, very tiny compared to any non indie game and very old and buggy. That is just what it is, there is no " If I stop my 5/10$ a month they will really get their **** together and turn it all around" Your vote is either sustain what the game is currently and its current trajectory or vote to shut down the game. You get middleground when there is bigger margins. Which I mean thats fine, that is life. Games shut down all the time especially ones from 2006. But I just want you to understand that people support this game more than it profits off of people at this point. Its like any other small business. If you open up a local dinner and don't turn a profit in 6month, you don't change your practices. You close.

Companies are not going to notice unless you are like, a high networth investor and a bank has a manager handling your account personally. Numbers fluctuate all the time, unless those are very big numbers, companies simply do not notice.

Why oppose the complaint when it is valid? The words of a 'White knight' only impresses the ego of it's author. Don't try and pull the 'in my day' card either. The complaints were just as vehement 20 years ago as they are today. It has nothing to do with a lack of self control in the customer/user. In my opinion the fire needs to get hotter - the complaining should get louder. The performance of DDO even without lag is a mild neglect. Improvements need to be made. Those who are paying and argue are not arguing because they want DDO to fail. It's the opposite. They want their favorite game to succeed on an even greater and healthier scale of success. I'm one of them.
