    1. Grim Precision (Tier 3 Shadowdancer)
    2. Extra Action Boost (Tier 1 Dreadnought)
    3. Rejuvenation Cocoon (Tier 1 Primal)
    Core features:
    • Only one P2W element: Vistani Knife Fighter which hopefully you bought when it was on sale for <350 DPs. Alternatively, you could level this as a F2P archer, unlock VKF tree via Favor, and use your free Heart of Wood to respec into a thrower build. You have until August 31st before Ravenloft goes back to being P2P.
    • Race: elf for +4 DEX and +6% Accuracy bonus
    • Doubleshot: 50% from DWS and VKF Enhancements, +100% from Multitude of Missiles while active.
    • Ranged Power: +20 from Horizon Shot, +15 from Vistani Fortune when Swords procs, up to +60 from Multitude of Missiles at BAB 30, up to +125 from Improved Archer's Focus when fully stacked, +60 from Shiradi Champion.
    • Sneak attacks: 7d6 SA from DWS enhancements and 6d6 from Scion of the Ethereal Plane. Sniper Shot grants sneak attack vulnerability and DWS capstone grants "You are always considered to be in Point Blank Shot and Ranged Sneak Attack range."
    • Whirling Wrists has always been a must-have, but Shiradi Champion is actually good for thrower builds now. Many of the random procs now scale with Ranged Power instead of Spellpower: bad for old-school Shiradi casters, but good for ranged builds with high hit rates and lots of Ranged Power. Hunt's End is similiar to Adrenaline (although it's hard to beat Adrenaline Overload for burst DPS) and DWS provides several ranged attacks which boost base damage or critical multiplier bonuses.
    • Optional: since ranger already provides the full TWF chain and many enhancements in DWS and VKF also apply to melee, you can invest in a few melee feats as well and have TWF daggers as a backup to throwing.

    Drawbacks:
    • Thrower builds start low and end high when it comes to DPS. You may find it preferable to level a TWF dagger build thru heroics, then use your free HoW to switch into a thrower build later on.
    • No inherent run speed bonuses makes kiting mobs more of a PITA. [Why oh why didn't rangers get Fast Movement enhancements like bards and rogues?!] Possible solution: splash barbarian for +10% runspeed; barb 2 would let you add Sprint Boost and Blood Tribute for temp HPs which would certainly help on Hardcore. This costs you the DWS capstone though.
    • No trap skills for that sweet bonus XP. Again, you could splash rogue or Artificer to add them, but it costs you Horizon Shot.
