Champion Chest Drop Ransack?

Can the champion chest drop be "ransacked"?

I do not mean the chest is ransacked and produced no loot, what I mean is if I farm a certain champion for a dozen times, will they stop/reduce remnant chest spawns?

Given the utterly random nature of champions, I tend to doubt it's possible to ransack their chests, much less ransack their chance to drop remnants/chests.

Was farming Devil Assault wave 1 for that, so.... the Vermin Guardians are pretty much the same ones....

Those chests only drop for me on the first run on Elite/Epic Elite.

I'm pretty sure they are an event coded to happen on first runs at those difficulties.

So far as I know, champion chests don't ransack. The vermin keepers are a good source of them.

More likely you outlevel them. Once you get 4 or 5 levels above the quest, champions stop dropping chests or remnants.

Hmm... I guess it's a good time for me to farm remnants then, since I'm in the golden level range of vermin keeper champion chests!

Mysterious remnants would be my guess. I suspect that there still exist players who don't have tens of thousands stacked in their banks.

I run Devil Assault frequently at the same levels for Tokens of the Twelve. I only see the 5 or 6 chests once per life. The second time I run Devil Assault at 21 I get maybe 1 or 2 chests at the outside from those champion vermin keepers, this despite them always being top champs.

I have enough of a sample over the years that it cannot be an RNG event that I get chests from 5 or 6 of the champs in the 1st wave the first time I run DA at epic levels and then only 1 or 2 tops thereafter.

Just realized that I solo the vast majority of my runs of DA, probably 90%+. If you run in groups then the odds are pretty good somebody in your group is in their 1st run of DA and so the chests will drop for you as well.

Hm. I used to farm heroic elite DA for champion chests, I even kept statistics, and I have not observed this behavior.

EDIT: So I pulled out my mule, did ten runs: 2,1,3,2,2,2,3,0,3,1. Not sure what this proves though.

Hmm, interesting... Now I know where to look when I'm in need of mysterious remnants!
