    Default A Unique way to play Melee Artificer - The Vistani ROBOT

    last update: 2022. Nov. 17. (This build description is U57 READY!!!)

    Hello there!

    I would like to share my all time favourite build.
    I like SURVIVABILITY and VERSATILITY.
    This build is designed to survive and complete soloing R6-8 quests at cap, but performs well in R10 groups too.

    It is a tanky "Swiss Army Knife" melee build, running around in cool Shadowform, who can disable every trap, can open all locks, gives buffs and do some damage too.

    4k+ HP, 300+ AC, 300+ PRR , 177 MRR, 285 standing Melee Power, 360 selfbuffed/boosted Melee Power, 20/23 SA Dice

    at cap the "Vistani ROBOT" is capable of:
    - trap (no fail)
    - selfheal (500-800ish normal and 1500 crits in R6 quests)
    - Intimidate
    - Bluff
    - minor Debuff
    - Dots
    - Goldcurse
    - Sneak
    - Nullmagic Guard
    - Engage mobs, save party members from damage.
    - Clear trash
    - Useful buffs (Lucky Cape, Stoneskin, Ablative Armor, Deadly, Poz. Energy Infusion, etc...)
    - Extended clicky duration
    - Dimension door
    - Greater Shadowform

    Very useful in any Party/Raid.
    Can play multiply roles as: Tank/Off Tank,Trapper, Kiter or minor Debuffer/DPS.

    It is very safe to play and dies once in a blue moon during questing up to R8.
    Can tank all quest bosses and reapers without blocking and DPS them at the same time!!!

    THE BUILD

    You are a very cool Living Construct (Gnomeforged*) with the benefit of:
    - healing from Repair spells
    - Minimal item swap !!!
    *Race only matters if U have lots of racial points

    Race: Deep Gnome (Gnome if Heroic) - I'd go Warforged (more ac/prr and melee power) but need racial completionist first
    Class: 17 Artificer/2 Fighter/1 Wizard
    Alignment: True Neutral

    Levelling order:
    1.Wiz (if Deep Gnome) otherwise take Wiz at lvl 2
    2-13 Arti
    14-15 Ftr
    16-20 Arti

    If U go heroics, from lvl 15 (till lvl 20) need to get blurry from Racial/Feydark tree. So put 1 point in EK tree for the Cleave attack and enough points to get Blurry in the Racial/Feydark tree.

    Playstyle:
    You are the 1st wave. Get all the aggro, draw the enemies anger to yourself.
    Run in the middle of a group of monsters--> Intimidate--> Hit Mighty Slam--> use 1-2 Cleave attacks--> Extend the stun effect with Battlefist-->use more Cleave attacks

    When mobs are stunned around U, just use Shadowstrike, Cleave, Great Cleave, Eldritch Strike and Kinetic Discharge.
    The instakill effect of Keeper of the Crimson Covenant can proc at every hit on all mobs in front of U/Cleave attack. Goldcusre Dagger also has an awesome CC effect.

    If U have got no stunneable mobs around U or wanna kill them faster just hit your Epic Moment and swing your dagger meanwhile.

    At lvl 20 (mostly in lvl 15 gear) I have out of reaper quests: 1407 HP, 200 AC, 187 PRR, 58 MRR, 43% DS (+20% from Vistani and +30% Reaper), 91 MP in Unyielding Sentinel (working on karma)

    Default Minor enhancement changes

    Hello there,

    Just a tiny but useful change if You have access to the new Feydark Illusionist Ench tree. Instead of investing points into the Falconry tree (for the extra 2 spot and Practiced Accuracy, I put those points into the new tree. 1st Core, Illusory Weaponry and You've Got My Back.
    This way dont need to switch weapon when fighting Oozes or Rust monsters, just imbue your main weapon with Imbue with Shadow. This gives the weapon +1 Enhancement bonus and alter the weapon's material to force.

    Memorize Nightshield and Shield spells (both lvl 1 Wizard spells) and u can benefit from +10 PRR/MRR if u have Tier 2 You've Got My Back.

    This build is not ueber dps. Just got enough dps for a tanky build not to suffer haha!!!

    I am looking forward the 48.4 SWF damage boost. Will take the new SWF feat (increases your ability score modifier to damage by +25% dmg) + PSWF also will ad +25% dmg +10 MP. Damage always was a weakpoint of this build. I hope with 48.4 it will be decent.

    It goes without saying that you gotta switch your trinket for epic gem of many facets and craft on that, giving you a set or two and a yellow?
    Bought my first dungeon master's guide in 1992. My favourite part of ddo is coffee and slayers

    Ty ! Very god idea! I had a Gem of Many Facets with Vulkoor"s Might setbonus on it in my bank. I crafted the same attributes on the Gem of many Facets that my normal level 20 trinket had.
    Since I will wear the bracers till lvl 28 it gives me:
    +20% Artifact bonus to threat generation
    +3 Artifact bonus to Attack
    +3 Artifact bonus to Damage
    +3 Artifact bonus to Critical Confirmation
    +3 Artifact bonus to Critical Damage

    At lvl 26 there is a lvl 26 trinket with same attributes but it gives +2% DS and +2Combat Mastery in total.     I went with kundarak delver set and abisai set on trinket, crafted repair amplification and +4 insightful con. Haven't settled on a prefix yet BUT I am not a melee build and also have toven's hammer. Just for reference: kundarak goggles + boots, abisai bracers+helmet, heroic co-op gs cloak, wicked insanity ring+belt, epic ring of stalker, health+10+50hp gloves, deadly/resistance +10 necklace, toven's hammer and epic doublecross crossbow (old one, with enervation). Don't have true seeing (probably should use 2 set into the mist) or blur (using eternal displacement pot and the 2 minute blur potion with +30% runearm recharge rate, it's a pain but not a melee)

    Pretty sure armor 20-28 should be red dragon armor and helmet red dragon helmet but I haven't settled on heavy or medium yet (This all for 20-25-28 obviously, not 29)

    I'm curious about your prr flat footed then reaper+buff.. reaper tree is 24 prr.. curious where the other 65 is coming from

    "When Dire Charge expires hit Mighty Slam and extend it with Battlefist."

    Correct me if I'm wrong but Mighty Slam/Battlefist are Single target abilities so aren't really a substitute to Dire Charge when it's on cool down?

    I'm really trying to find a build for my melee character that I really like and haven't found it yet... Some combination of SWF'ing, Artificer and VKF are high on my radar though because it all works quite well with Shadar Kai. Have you thought about doing an SDK life to *erm* swing your Chain around?

    Outside quests my PRR is 232. My selfbuffed PRR is 293 in reaper quests. The 323 is temp PRR with boosts on.

    Got some items with mythic/reaper bonuses +Epic PLs also give a bunch. Sentient filigrees + filigree set bonuses and the Suulo setbonus +30, +10 Martial Hymn and Tenser gives me +22 (ye I know its weird). Also can twist Improved Combat Expertise for another +20prr but I usually skip it if I have 300 prr standing. And of course Bard Songs

    and reaper boost prr +10PRR/+20 MRR once in a blue moon with Vistani Fortune

    can go temporarly higher if u take feat: Guardian Angel (at 50% HP +prr equal to your Wis score) for 30 sec. It has a good synergy with reaper prr boost. When I played that style, I had 450ish prr for 30 sec

    Mighty Slam/Battlefist are a mini AOE stun cleave hit. U can stun multiply targets with it. This is the main CC of a melee Artificer.
    The description says its a single target but its not.
