Does offhand defense (Tier 4 EK enhancement) affect orbs?

Good Morning all,

I'm back after a 10+ year hiatus, and I'm planning out my next life and like the title says, I'm curious whether or not the Offhand Defense (shield version) enhancement in the EK tree affects orbs? I know the hp portion of the effect doesn't, but i'd still take it if you get the 15% boost to bashing.

I plan on taking single weapon fighting, but I am debating whether taking feats/skills to improve the secondary shield bash of the orb is worth it?

Per the wiki you can shield bash with an orb, however, since the T4 enhancement does specify with a shield, I doubt it would work with that enhancement.

The 15% Shield Bash enhancement from EK works with otbs. You need the Shield Proficiency feat to unlock the Shield Bash feat though. The Shield Proficiency enhancement from EK doesnt unlock the Shield Bash feat.

An EK Wizard has 5 Bonus metamagic feats to work with as well making it easier to build for it. Its the best damage for orb bashing because you have the Spellsword imbue on your bashes as well 10 base force spell power.
