Default [Sold] WTS Double Augment boots (blue/yellow)

Hello all, I have somehow obtained (not sure how, didn't do anything that special) double augmented boots, useful for crafting purposes. Here is the screenshot of the item:

I have placed the boots on Shard Exchange for bit overshot price - if anyone wants them, feel free to get them.
In case the auction expires, I will send them to the highest offer - please send tell to Daian (Cannith). I am specifically looking for shards as my solo guild project eats quite deep with premium amenities.

So, I was curious in what you termed "bit overshot price"... yeah that shot is targeting the sun.. careful Icarus...

Double slots are now a lot more prevalent since U46 came out... Before U46 the double slots on wearables was limited to Yellow/Colorless.

They are pretty common now, not really worth shards and you would be lucky to sell them for plat.

Even if SSG doesn't currently plan on nerfing double slot items, you all have a track record of changing your mind on how the game should look every couple of years when someone wants to make changes to random lootgen items.

Keeping a few of those items for the future if/when they no longer drop is a smart move.

That's usually how game design works, yes. Part of the job is not just making new stuff, it's examining if older stuff can be revisited to better fit the modern needs of the players. For example, determining that items with two slots are safe to reintroduce, or revamping old enhancement trees, or adding new aspects to older classes, or making an old crafting system less grindy. Doesn't mean things were wrong when they were built in the first place, it just means that the game has evolved. Constant improvement and iteration is part of the reason DDO is doing so well :) we have a huge legacy of systems and tools to lean upon, and a lot of history to fall back on when determining what's working and what could be improved.

I don't blame SSG for making changes.

But don't act surprised when people say things like "jump on this before SSG nerfs this".

Well, I admit I completely missed these items drop again, when they dropped last time (I know of) they were limited to colorless+yellow. This one does not have the (pretty useless) colorless so good with me. When they stopped dropping, I was able to sell 2 such items I had pretty quick (less than a week) for 100 and 125 shards. Checked Shard Exchange and didn't find any double slots there = assumed they are still somewhat rare and worth some price for somebody. The 1000 is more for the people to be able to look at the item if they want to - not expecting it to sell for that price but if it would do, OK with me. ;-)

Hm, I may be addict to DDO, playing almost every day for a while or two on a hamster wheel. Running each quest once a life (well not exactly each, but about 3k favor worth quests a life) selling everything I pull (still looting every chest) as vendor trash or feeding it into sentience (whatever applies), checking every item before selling on augment slots presence. This is the first one I have seen in ages, so common does not describe the situation well (or I am quite unlucky in drops).

As above, selling about 30 stripped augmented blanks (all non-weapon) per life for plat very easily.

To announce in public, current highest offer I got is 11 shards, if not beaten, it will go for that next week :-P.

That number (11 shards) actually seems about right to me at the moment.

Obviously, every potential buyer needs to decide the value for themselves, but there is a premium to be paid if you want a specific double slot item right now.

I have been diligently looking for double slot items since the change and I have found exactly three double slot items in which both slots were red, blue, yellow, or green). They are one weapon (handwraps), one armor (robes), and one "other" (goggles). I have seen a few (4 or 5?) other items where one of the slots is colorless. I have seen a lot of single blue slots on non-armor items...this seems to be very common now.

I play quite a bit (20-25 hours per week), but I am sure there are folks who play more. My point is that while these items are dropping, they are still fairly rare. Getting the combination of slots you want on a specific gear type is not going to be easy if you plan on waiting for it to drop for you.

Eventually, I suspect everyone will have a stash of double slotted items available for crafting and the price will go way down. (I used to be able to sell green slot items for shards, but no more.) But for someone who "just has to have it NOW", I'd say 11 shards is not a terrible deal.

I just bought Boots with Yellow and Blue slots off the AH for 25000pp. Admittedly it was on a different server, but I doubt they'd be worth that much more on your server.

Sold for 11 shards. Next time at least I know these double augs drop again and the price dropped down significantly.
