Store Sales Not Working?

just purchased char slot and payed the full price

I too have been shafted - purchased an additional character slot, what with them being 50% off due to Summer Sales, and have discovered that instead of the sale price of 312 points, I was also charged full price, 625 points.

I searched throughout the websites, even logged into my account, but could not discover any way to contact anyone in customer support to clear this up.

There has not been an actual announcement (that I am aware of) for this sale. I discovered it by opening the ddo store (in game) and seeing the Summer Sails splash screen.

Yep just noticed that and was about to buy a lesser tome of learning.

They need to fix this..

But you can see the price listed, and if a discount is being applied. It's completely baffling why/how you would buy something listed at full price, and then be surprised that it wasn't less than listed.

As shown in the other post, they are marked as on sale in the Store and do show the discounted price. So, yep, I did expect to get the SHOWN discount.

They worked for me, I bought Gnome on my premium account and the proper amount was deducted.

Then I bought Falconry on my VIP account.
Again the proper amounts were deducted.

Here is the time on my second purchase.

In the past, CS has always been pretty good at returning points in this case, if you ask nicely. I know they have for me when I bought something early, after a sale had been announced but before the % discount had been applied.

Don't know if that's still the case. :/

I submitted a help request (not in game, couldn't find anything there for store purchases - I seem to recall using submitting tickets in game for the store before, but I could be wrong), and in the past they have always been helpful. Like you, I'm sure it will be taken care of.

So...........no official response? Do I have to be on DDO Discord to learn what is going on? I have advised the entire guild to avoid these current sales because of this. I think SSG owes people an update and a remedy ASAP, so as to limit the number of peeps sentenced to the purgatory they call customer service.

I bought char slot few hours ago and was billed 50% regular price.

My guess is that discount was announced but not applied when OP bought his slots.

And in meantime it got applied.
