    Default destruction domain barb/cleric?

    Figured now would be the time to try something like this, with HCL and everything!

    Barbarian/cleric, destruction domain. THF DPS, sustain through blood tribute and healing while raged.

    Not sure of the level split yet, looking at things that seem important.
    Cleric 12 gets me perma blur, 10% max HP.
    Cleric 11 gets me 6th level spells, heroes feast, heal, and get out of jail free word of recall.
    Cleric 9 gets me the 3% doublestrike/5% strikethrough, not huge but helps, and 5th level spells.
    Cleric 8 gets an additional melee power.

    Barb I'm thinking either 8 or 12. 12 gets me higher cores, 8 allows more of a cleric splash.

    thoughts? or should I just stick to cookie cutter 20 barb

    cleric and barb mix well together, cleric takes a long time to come into its own, so I would start with 1 barb for run speed, spam cleric levels up to 11-12, and plaster the remaining barb levels afterwards.

    the issue here would be access to the barb enhancements, this would essentially play as a cleric for most of heroics, and the survivability is iffy.
    an alternative would be to go 5 barb / 7 cleric for 12, despite 7 cleric being weak, and essentially play it as a barb with some minor heals and buffs.

    main difference between the two is spells vs enhancements, take your pick. If soloing, I'd prob go for the barb and slap a hire as needed.

    as for the level split, 12-14 cleric is the very least you want (depending on domain) and there's no real reason to go over 6 barb on such a build.
    possible consideration is adding an early rogue level, get yourself trapping skills to help out having low saves, and perhaps add another later on if you think you can pull off the saves for evasion, or want to top off some skills.

    personally I wouldn't go destruction domain, I get the desire to rage-cast, I think on this build you might be better off not raging at all and going for luck domain instead for better saves and free displacements (surviavbility in HCL?). I view the main benefit you get from the barb splash as the enhancements, which, for the most part, work regardless of raging.
