GS altars on ships

You can't do LGS crafting at guild ship altars...or am I just doing something wrong?

Made LGS gloves on my ship and now trying to upgrade to tier 1 but it's not working. I'm at the Altar of Invasion. Added the ingredients I made but it keeps asking for shard of power, which is only used for heroics, correct?

I guess this means the only place to upgrade LGS is in LS?

You make the base item on the ship or Meridia, but you are correct, all the augments are made while inside the Legendary Shroud.
Pro-Tip: You don't need to have the base item with you, you can make the augments in the Shroud, make the item later even, then slot the made augments into the item.
