Ok, lag issues has been with the game since I remember. But lately it's going out of hand. Past month or 2, i'm getting stuck in loading screen very often. And I really mean it, very often! I used to get stuck in the loading screen time to time. But it's nothing to compare how many times I get stuck lately. And just lag in general, it is really a disaster. I have a quite a good rig, ssd and all that good stuff. High speed and stable isp. And, everyone in my groups is getting the same lag as I do. Oh the problem is on your end blah blah blah. No! SSG servers sux! Period! I'm not going to stop playing DDO cause of it. (Although I may if it gets too out of hand) But, it gets me very angry and I can imagine at some point I may just close the game for that day. But the other thing is how others react to it. I can easily imagine people stop playing cause of the frequent lag and stuck in loading screen type thingy. It is so annoying!!! And it really feels bad when you are VIP, you support the game and the server still sucks.

I just bought two plugs and cables to connect my router to my laptop and it's made not the slightest bit of difference to the absolutely ludicrous lag I've been getting this past week or so since the last patch!

I was considering buying a new laptop but the guy in the shop said that my current laptop should be more than good enough to play your standard MMO.

Of course we all know DDO has far more lag than your standard MMO!

And it really has been getting worse and worse since Update 42 - Each patch has instead of lessening the lag WORSENED it!


P.S. I'm playing mainly on WAYFINDER since I've been back in-game guys and I'm getting this lag THERE! - When I log on to other servers it's even worse!

People say this — but it really isn’t noticeable to me on Cannith. Of course, not doing it could be quite noticeable to the downside so there’s that as well.

While I obviously don’t think SSG is allowing the lag problem to continue for fun, I do worry that the well has run dry on meaningful/workable fixes. Perhaps it’s time to invest in some high end external consulting for new ideas/directions?
