The DDO game worlds will be brought down on Thursday, June 11th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) to deploy a hotfix. This will temporarily set to zero the cost to reset Reaper Enhancements.

I think there are 2 situations:

1- standard procedure: say its 4 hrs, because if it takes 1 only we are good everyone is happy(if it takes the 4, oh well, we said it was 4)

2- Updating anythign on a server has some procedures that takes time: backups, patching, commiting, proper checks to server health when brought up, etc (its not like its installing a program)

So.... wasn't yesterday's patch supposed to fix the reaper enhancement hp problem? and if so, why do we need another hot fix 2 days later to make it so people can reset them for free. I got all my hp/sp from reaper enhancements back, is there just something I'm missing here?

Not everyone got them back, some people needed to reset their points and redo them for it to apply (which costs plat). And of those people, some were looking at plat costs that were far beyond what they could afford so this will make the costs zero to allow them to fix things.

They always do. It may not require new code to download, but it always seems like there's some undisclosed other changes that are made.

So there's the placebo effect and the nocebo effect; which begs the question, is there a patchcebo effect where people perceive changes in a game that weren't actually changed?

Not everyone got them back, some people needed to reset their points and redo them for it to apply (which costs plat). And of those people, some were looking at plat costs that were far beyond what they could afford so this will make the costs zero to allow them to fix things.

I find it hard to belief that people with so many reaper points that this matters to them couldn't "afford" a reset. I really hope this is not the only reason for a 4 hour outage...

Thank you but too late. I wanted to play the game with my reaper points working and I couldn't afford nearly 2 million platinum so I had to spend 60 shards for the Reaper Trees Reset. I understand it was my own decision but it is once again sad that recently everything that comes out is not working well, not to mention the SSGs negligence to do something about the people who abuse in this game and I am sure you guys know what I am talking about. (Won't write anything more because I know it is forbidden to post details here).

Please cure this game off all the parasites so it won't die.

Post poned? So we have to wait to reset trees and use what we have spent aload of time farming for?
I suppose if an issue has happened, can't help it, but please give us a temporary way then. Let us put a ticket in for platinum and get a GM to give us some. Takes a minute max.

Yeah it's vastly better to catch a problem early and postpone an update, then to release and have more broken stuff.
