Default Expansions now available for 99 each until Aug 31st

The two expanions (quests/wilderness only) are now available in the store for 99 DDO points each. Be careful, the store lets you buy them if you already own the expansion packs! So be careful not to waste your points by accident.

Don't forget to use the code: HAPPY14 in the store to get a free Dragon voice Sentient gem on each of your new accounts!

It's been 8 years since MoTU came out. I can't even be careful if I don't remember if I own it or not on a particular account. And I can't tell, because all content is currently open.

Can we please have these 2 expansion contents available for like a month after the everything-free period ends, so we have a way to tell whether or not we need to buy it, instead of only during the period where we can't tell if we will need it?

Or add in some way to tell?

If you have Epic Destinies and Druid (and Greater Tome of Learning: Heroic) then you probably already previously purchased the expansion via DDO market for Menace of the Underdark.

As for Shadowfell Conspiracy, check to see if you have PDK access. If you do (and the Lesser Tome of Epic Learning), very likely you previously purchased Shadowfell Conspiracy.

And you can always dig through your buying history in the top right corner of the store. Will take a while but you'd be sure

Both of which are available as separate purchases. PDK, too.

It doesn't seem to go back earlier than 2015. And it, not surprisingly, only lists DDO Store purchases, which is not the same as content you have access to. E.g., Marketplace versus Store.

This really seems like something they need to have a good way to do.

Or, as I suggested, have the x-packs on sale until Sept 30 instead of only Aug 31.

The Menace of the Underdark and Shadowfell Conspiracy expansions codes originally had to be entered through the account management website:

    https://myaccount.standingstonegames.com/

you can log in with your username and password at that site and check under Game Version History to see if you have the Menace and Shadowfell expansions.

However, when they changed the code redemption through the DDO store instead, I believe the Game Version History no longer tracks your expansion purchases. so if you purchased Menace or Shadowfell expansion more recently within the past few years from DDO Market, it will not show up.

It is not conclusive, but you could at least check there first to see if you already own Menace and Shadowfell.

Or just make it so it wont let you buy something you already own, like everything else does

According to this post by Cordovan it was supposed to be available for anyone that doesn't already own it - doesn't seem to be working his way though:

Fortunately Lord of the Rings Online isn't letting you buy expansions you already own (which is good because they have 5 up for sale and it is harder to remember if you own them).

For these two I would just ask, did you ever play the Eveningstar chain or the Wheelon chain before the free period started? If you never played them even once in all the years they have been out then it is unlikely you owned the packs.

I know I have them on my main account. I want to get them for my family member's accounts, if they need them, which is hard to tell.

I couldn't find them in the store so had to search for them and then they showed up. Just thought I'd mention it in case anybody else comes across this.

I posted this in another thread.

I can see my subscriptions in the account information that is available by selecting My Account from the launcher. However, I purchased mine with cash from the Market. Can someone that purchased the expansions with points check to see in it shows up there.
