Default resolution issue and wrong monitor

    Hi,
since the update before last ( i gave up playing because it was so annoying and hoped it would get fixed this patch)

But i can no longer play at my monitor resolution , HD being the max size the game allows now, so the game is a tiny window in the middle of my screen.

Plus i can not get the game to run on primary monitor 1, it keeps defaulting to one of my side screens ( number 3).

If turbine dont want me to play the game they are doing a great job of it...

how can i play at 2560x1600 like i have been for YEARS,,

AND how to get it to play on the main monitor,? like i had been for YEARS.

really getting sick of these issues...

I just can not face playing the game AT ALL outside of these parameters.

    any help greatly appreciated !
    many thanks
    eme

It may be DDO, but it may also be a quirky video setting somewhere in your video card software or windows screen resolution. I personally have an AMD card and three monitors using eyefinity mode. I have to first set up my three monitors correctly using the AMD catalyst control center, then the resolution shows up correctly in Windows screen resolution and I think DDO pulls its resolutions from there.

If all else fails it looks like this thread from LOTRO has a good post about how to run a custom sized window without the borders using Autohotkey and the UserPreferences file.

    Thanks for the reply Dreddy,,
ive already tried all that but it doesnt work sadly.

Not sure why it stopped working when they updated DDO last time, nvidea dual cards here, no problems with anything else and nothings changed. Its as though turbine forgot to add something during one of the updates.

I'm brand new to this game, and had the same issue. I was thinking I'd just find something else to play since I couldn't find a fix online. But for some reason I started fiddling with the UserPreferences.ini file instead and found a fix.

In the file: ...\Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online\UserPreferences.ini"
    under the [Render] heading,
look for DisplayAdapter=0 and change it to 1 or 2 or whatever makes it work.

    Number 1 worked for me.

I'm almost certain I'm too late to help you. But maybe it'll help someone else.
