UI Skins

Are these still available? I've tried a few (BlackBird... etc) and all of them seems to be broken graphic-wise. I'm on mac.

I created a new path in My Documents labeled ui -> skins and dumped all of 'em in there.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

From the U46 Patch 2 preview notes: UI Skinning has returned to DDO.

So give it a couple of weeks and try again.

EDIT: Oh and I have no clue if it ever worked on Macs...

That's...sad. I hope it works, though. Those ui skins looks really handy and organized, unlike my attempts to organize all my stuff like a billion hotbars and the focus orb which I don't know where to put it.

Blackbird still works fine, I'm currently using it but I have no idea if skinning works on Mac.

Totally different. Skinning is for the menus, hotbars etc. The runearm charging is built in to the weapon somehow I am guessing but I could be wrong.

Blackbird still works for me, too. It seriously could be a mac issue.

I agree with the runearm charge meter. Why does it have to be so big and locked to the screen? So strange.

As far as the focus orb goes, i generally put it on the left above my health bar. It forces me to look at my health regularly which anyone I've ever grouped with will tell you I need to do more often, lol.

Once U46 patch 2 goes live we will see the art assets which will allow us to do skinning again, I am hoping there are some talented people out there because the base skin for the game is, imho, freaking hideous!

yeah, blackbird still works and still looks great... altho some things aren't quite skinned right as they were changed/added after they removed skinning a long while ago.

that said, i fully expect more skins soon... yay!

and as for the arti charge meter? probably not. the "skinning" refers to changing the skins of individual UI pieces, you still position them where you want...
