Make Stone of Change immediate

I dare you to crunch a full stack of Khyber Dragonshard Fragments and tell me if that's a fun gaming experience :|
The delay - it's always been so meaninglessly painful! Please, make it immediate or just faster or turn it into one of the newer version menu types like Cannith crafting

Stone of change is screwed.

Let the stone of change crunch these in stacks of 1000, instead of the 100 at a time.

Just finished crunching 12,000 of these things.

Change the time animation to be instant. the slow crunch..wait....start again cycle is brain numbing.

Crunching Khyber and Siberys dragonshards at the Stone of Change is a pain in the [expletive]


1. Any time a stack of items is exhausted, the Stone of Change stops working forcing players to close and re-opening the UI.
2. Interface wont handle full inventory stacks.
3. Interface has a slow crunch animation. come on... have you tried to make a flawless Siberys dragonshards from scratch.. its a million fragments..
and interface screws up after depleting stack so every 10 clicks requiring reopening interface... 100 re-openings of interface...
so after 1,000+ clicks @ approx. 6 seconds/click or about 3 hours. I have 1 flawless Siberys Shard.

Is it beyond reason to ask for an NPC trader with the new trade interface
(like the Cannith essence trader they made to convert old essences into new ones) standing next to the stone of change that only trades Khyber and Siberys dragonshards for upgraded ones and can handle full stacks...


we have seen evasive reasons from dev's about all kinds of old crafting recipes remaining in the Stone of change that apparently cause all kinds of programming issues..
but who cares... they are old outdated recipes that sidestep the problem of the Khyber and Siberys dragonshards which are the issue at hand.
They can leave that list of old recipes on old stone of change as is.. no screwing around with that old programming required..

New NPC vendor setup from the template of the Cannith essence trader that just deals in Khyber and Siberys dragonshard conversions...
just a simple steam-lined interface to quickly convert the various tiers of dragonshards.

This isn't a thing we can do for tech and server performance reasons, unfortunately.

Think the kind of problems old Cannith Crafting instances used to bring, except in the marketplace, and multiplied by more than ten.

I get maybe that the interface is coded in a way that the Stone of Change Crafting cant be messed with without screwing it up..

Add an NPC that would trade Khyber and Siberys shards instead of having us suffer through the mindless clicks on a stupid crunching interface...
even upping the crunch interface to handle the inventory 10k stacks...
The stone of change interface locks up constantly forcing a close and re-open of the interface.

was a PITA even back in 2011 (annoyance to player even longer than that)...

I haven't crunched stones in years because of the interface.

It was cool for the first 5 minutes. Way back when.

I get what Steel is saying. But we have cool new NPC interfaces for other things, there should be a way to update shard upgrading to that system.

Chompy Ted. I've been calling the Stone of Change, Chompy Ted for over a decade, its short for the Chompy Chompy Monster of Tedium. I try to encourage everyone to call it that... because it amuses me and because it should bring home the message that, that "interface" is boring as heck. More boring than grade school homework when you had to write a list of words 10x each or sort and fold laundry, more boring than scraping old paint.
