    Default Help with end-game gear

    I have a second life Warlock following Great Old Ones. The character is level 30. I can solo pretty much any Legendary quest on Hard without any problem. I have soloed a few Legendary quests on Elite, although I often die once or twice before completing.

    I like Enlightened Spirit and almost always run with Eldritch Aura. I do not have any real gear other than Thunderforged armor and weapons. I have been running with a rapier and a dagger both crafted to increase spell power (one increasing Acid and the other increasing Radiance). All of the rest of my gear is Cannith crafted.

    I have Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus for Conjuration, Enchantment, and Illusion (but I don't seem to ever get value from the Illusion so am thinking I'll swap those for Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration). I'm not sure I need Conjuration, I took it for Trap the Soul but don't use the spell much so am considering switching that to Evocation.

    Given that information, what gear should I aim for? I prefer it not be raid gear. I solo almost exclusively and am very nervous about joining raids.

    This very likely is not fully optimized - but it is a good place to start - and does not include any raid gear.
    I did not fill in augment except for one in the weapon and one in the orb - nor did I fill in filigrees.
    It is a **** shame that the setup bonus uses the gloves slot as that means you cannot use the Stone Forged Gauntlets.

    The +wis items is for use with Mass Frog, which you should definitely use.
    Maybe someone more intimately knowledgeable about warlocks can improve.

    Looks like all the bases are covered, but that second weapon is adding very little and the low radiance lore probably holding you back. That said you could solo r4 with no problems and r8 with a little help using this gear and most of it easy to come by. The first things I'd advise getting are the burnscar belt and nightmothers scepter from Ravenloft, those two items fill so many important holes and will make getting the rest much easier.

    This uses the fvs set armor blessed vestments, cloak hallowed trail, bracers hallowed castigators, hat memoirs reaper,

    belts black satin waist cha 5, ravenlofts burnscar, silver thread, gogs collective sight cha, ins cha,

    rings shattered onyx ins wis 10, celestial saphire dex, quik swap legendary cheiftan for frog 72 wis

    boots legendary flight foots reflex saves, or devil commanders max prr, gloves artifact gauntlet iron council 3 cha fils,

    neclace legendary sigil or cracked core, trinket slavers ins con 2 aug slots or cursebane focus

    Main hand night mother, off hand lgs affirmation, sky vault tower shield

    Heal amp 240-265 shining through, ac 171 +, max prr 274 hopin to hit the 300 mark with better reaper sharn gear

    saves 84, 88, 68 + 17 spell saves, wail is at 122 dc in majister ed

    It is definitely far from a perfect setup - just what I could brainstorm fast - but why do you call the radiance lore low with +45% from items (+27 from slavelords and +18% from orb)?

    At a small loss in DC the Celestial Beacon from WPM could be used though rather than the Night Mothers Scepter for better light damage.

    No enhancement light spell power really not enough stuff synergy in drac or maj to make it viable for high skulls and ea is just bad these days needs a total over haul to make that viable

    Thank you to everyone thus far.

    I appreciate the comments and advice.

    I mostly solo so am OK if the character doesn't have the optimal gear. Eldritch Aura plus melee fits my skill level with the game so I really want to stick with that if I can. I would be satisfied with being able to solo thru Legendary on Elite. Low to mid Reaper would just be a bonus for me.

    If I need to learn to play the character differently, what should I be practicing? If I did join a group what would they expect from me and does it matter about the eldritch stance at all?

    I can lesser reincarnate to bring my stats to a better place and rework my spell choices. I don't really want to do a different type of reincarnate because it is fun to be at the top level and to run these higher level quests.

    I try to avoid the store but have used it. I did use a +8 stat tome when they were last available.

    If I were to reset using lesser reincarnation, what would be a better stat distribution and spell choices for Great Old Ones?

    From just lore and insightful lore should be closer to 50%, but also missing other pieces of the attack puzzle. Radiance is the primary weapon, it needs to be the best you can make it in spell power and lore plus getting evocation as high as possible. You can work on acid after that since it's not always going to work. So the build should cover all the bases for regular, insightful, quality, profane, etc. for any blaster's the primary attack. You can backfill and make compromises with all the defense after you get the offense sorted.

    I agree you can do better than nightmothers on a stat or two, but it's very handy for covering a lot of bases. Also, there's no such thing as a small loss from DC for R5 and up reaper builds. If the spell doesn't land your extra light power doesn't help much.

    All that said, the gear list isn't terrible, but I think we all agree it's not optimal. The OP needs a place to start and we can help with theorycraft on what should go first, second, etc. I'd also suggest checking out the gear used by R8 warlocks you can find online. They can still be blasters under r10, but instakills and CC ultra high DCs make you have to sacrifice a lot for R10 builds and the gear reflects this.

    I am kind of in the same boat. I mainly play another class build, but I play Warlock once in a while to change things up. I just got to level 30, and I cant even do Epic Elite Sharn stuff with out getting killed. Was killed in Memoirs of an Illusory Larcene over and over.. I have all kinds of gear My Spell powers are Acid 734 ( can be higher if I used Legendary Stone-forged Gauntlet 214 Corrosion Insightful 107 , Legendary Stone Shoes Insightful 107 corrosion, Quality 53 corrosion) I have Enhanced 202 Corrosion from the Burnscar Sash . So I can have Enchanment 214, Enhanced 202 , Insightful 107, and Quality 53. That is 576 Corrosion just from those items.

    But then I need to consider Radiance, Which I have Hallowed Trail cloak with its 214 Radiance with 31% Radiance lore, Legendary resplendant gives me 107 insightful radiance and insightful lore of 18% ( i havent seen Quality Radiance on anything)

    And Finally Impulse for Evards Tentacles. the only 2 high items is an Orn that gives 214 and a cloak with 185 ... which both interfere with the radiance or corrosion items.

    Then once spell power is taken care of I need to consider what items for the DC of my spells, penetration, not to mention my Survival so i need PRR MRR , Fortification, and Hit points.

    As it stands right now I have 688 Hit points ( dont have a Constitution item equipped atm)
    AC: 68
    Fortification: 304
    PRR: 92
    MRR:50

    Spell points : 2280
    Charisma: 73 ( which can go higher from other gear like +22 cha minor artifact.. )

    I know a big part of it is game play, how you play your character. I normally try to Hold Monster ( 69 DC) atm, and I use Evards tentacles and use Wave, energy Burst ( acid), Divine Wrath, Spray spray spray...
    Yet some how I still end up dying alot. I am pretty squishy with only 688 hp.

    So what is the best way to maximize gear and be efficient. My warlock should be rolling through EE with having all my past lives Heroic and Epic.

    I am level 30 and with the new pacts that come out, perhaps when i TR go down one of those routes? Which BTW I had no idea about them until yesterday. I dont know if any of the new pacts are really good or not. Even so, Would need gear for those builds.. But any way.. Im still looking for my GOO gear as it is..I need to optimize my gear. I am ready to farm some more . Any help would be great.

    Respec to ES run in Drac max Aoe

    Rejuv, staunch, shining through

    Use fvs fury set n medium armor

    Craft lgs affirmation for your off hand

    Cha n Dcs are way too low for sharns they really raised the bar on that so just use tentacles dump the rest

    Maybe swap to the con gloves artifact max that hp too while your at it
