Default Shot on the Run and ranged alacrity

So, I have seen multiple threads on this topic but no concise results/proof.

Does the ranged attack speed from Shot on the Run stack with alacrity/speed items? I did a test...

SotR (+10% attack speed bonus) + 10% ranged alacrity item (10% enhancement bonus) + speed item (6% enhancement bonus) fired 100 arrows in 70 seconds

SotR (+10% attack speed bonus) + speed item (6% enhancement bonus) fired 100 arrows in 69seconds

SotR (+10% attack speed bonus) fired 100 arrows in 71seconds

Allowing for error with me hitting stop on the stopwatch, they are all equal. So it appears SotR does NOT stack with other sources of attack speed bonuses from alacrity/speed items. They do show in different areas on the character sheet though. SotR shows up only on the Ranged Combat: Bow Attack Speed Bonus on the character sheet whereas alacrity/speed items show up only on the mouse-over Ranged Attack Speed Bonus.

Is SotR supposed to stack with other forms of alacrity or not??????? Please devs, let us know. It is a feat that has two pre-reqs and by the time you can get it you can likely find an item with 10% alacrity anyway. If it doesn't stack, LET US KNOW.

Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

There was a thread about ranged/bow attack speed some weeks ago. Basically, bow alacrity is often less than the listed amount because it does not affect the entire attack animation, second there is a hard cap on bow attack speed that is fairly easy to hit in epics w/o that feat. This might be your problem. Basically, bow attack speed feats/enhancements do not work as advertised. I've never seen a dev acknowledge this bug, so feel free to report it.

For bows, alacrity compensation is usually built in - eg Haste gives 22% ranged, 15% melee, because it ends up working to a 15% boost for ranged overall

But yeah the animation cap issue is emerging as one of the major limiting factors for bow archery

Yeah, but as I concluded in that thread, that may have worked in 2006 but it doesn't anymore. When you stack several attack speed bonuses, if they only affect half of the animation, speeding up that half even by an infinite amount can only make it attack twice as fast. No amount of attack bonus is going to fix that. It's mathematically flawed. The hard cap is the biggest problem though.
