    I've tried to transfer my HC character to Ghallanda today, and I keep getting an error immediately after going through the transfer window. The character is un-guilded, I have 2 free spots on the server I've trying to transfer to (Ghallanda), and Im not logged into the game. The error msg is #D43791 (although it is different from each attempt).

    He was named the same in HC 1, if that could be a reason (that character was deleted on Ghallanda after transfer).

    What gives?

    If you have no open character slot on the receiving server, then that's likely throwing the error.

    I appreciate the attempts to help. However, I'm 99.9% sure this is not the problem. To clarify:
    1) I originally tried to transfer with open slots and received the same error
    2) I have a few friends that have successfully transferred toons to Gallanda with no available character slots
    3) I opened up a new slot by deleting a toon and I still receive the error

    Also of note, before the suggestions are wasted, I have heard folks received similar errors and transferred their toon(s) to another server successfully. I would really like this toon to go to Gallanda. As the transfer time-frame winds down, I will obviously reconsider with significantly more weight, but I'd really like someone from SSG to take a look at the error message and explain or fix the problem.

    It might work similar to any time you LR or TR, where if you are able to level, you need to do that before you transfer. Just a guess though.

    Hmm, tricky one. It sounds like you have logged into and out of that character prior to doing a transfer attempt, which would be my first suggestion. Checking guild leader status is another. Making sure you have free space on the server for your character to transfer to was done. Was the character playing without issue during its Hardcore tenure prior to death?

    I understand Cordovan said otherwise, but I think he's been wrong once or twice before.

    Why it is probably not a problem:
    Slots were open: I tried to transfer and received the error - several times - over at least a 24-hour period.

    Thank you for looking into this.

    I was completely logged out of the game on all attempts - other than the transfer window. I've made at least a dozen attempts, so there's a good chance that even if my game didn't exit correctly, I was probably logged out on at least one attempt.
    The toon is not in a guild.
    I had at least three free slots when I originally tried to transfer. I have one free slot now. I have at least two friends online that say they've transferred beyond their character slot limits.
    No issue during gameplay other than what I would say was an inordinate amount of damage from a gel cube.

    Yep. Once the afterparty started, I did all that. Same results.

    I am having the same issue with one of my characters. I have a free slot available, not the guild leader, etc. I was able to transfer 2 other characters over, but this one character, named "Pure" will not transfer. I tried to use free credit to change name in case that is the issue, but it says I don't have any free credits (are these not available on the actual Hardcore server...only for destination servers?)

    My best guess, as an amateur programmer, is that deleted toons do not actually get deleted but rather flagged as "deleted" while the toon remains generally intact. This is how SSG is able to offer to undelete toons. Therefore, there is probably a deleted "Funnybunny" on Ghallanda. When the world transfer code checks for name conflicts, a good guess is that it is checking against a filtered list that does not include deleted toon names. So, the transfer then runs into a naming conflict error when it tries to name the character without the "-1."

    Also having transfer issues. Name is one I've never used before and character slots are available...I've even purchased an additional slot so that when I lose VIP I still have room. Error is:

    TO WORLD: Ghallanda

    Character Hcbotone did not transfer.

    My initial assumption was that the same character name-1 already existed on Ghallanda, but after checking it appears they do not. No idea what would cause the x-fer to hang up.

    Everyone has the game closed right? I know you can have the launcher come up and run multiple instances of the game, so just to make sure, no copies of the game are running whatsoever?
    Not a guild leader, heck wouldnt hurt to leave the guild anyway.
    dont have a pending tr/er/lesser didnt level up all the way, etc.
    You're in a public place, not in the bridge between worlds, starter iconic area, etc. Try leaving a guild ship and standing in the market?

    The only other thing I could think of, and I can't think of how this would be possible, but transfers do not work in the case of a duplicate item conflict. So, if you somehow managed to get the same exact item on two different characters, that would prevent the 2nd character from transferring. This usually only crops up during copies to Lamannia rather than transfers, though.

    Otherwise, players who are unable to transfer a character from the Hardcore server to a live world should get in touch with Technical Support through the in-game Help menu.

    My character that won't transfer is not iconic (and is level 20).

    Update: As you can tell by the level of the character, I didn't actually care about it too much and I was mostly interested in some things he picked from some gold rolls and things he picked up along the way. I rolled up a new character moved everything on to it that wasn't bound to character and the new character transferred over just fine. So it is a character problem with that one char. I am not worried about the character that didn't transfer but SSG is welcome to look at it if it helps narrow down the problem.

    For others trying to fix this: In-game Help support said they cannot help with the issue and to enter a ticket online at https://help.standingstonegames.com/.
