And it also helped me a lot
I've been wanting to learn how to play a warlock for a long time, thanks.
Ok, I have a few questions.
I'm retiring after a long absence and decided to try hardcore so I'm using this build..
However I do have some questions.
1. why night shield vs shield?
2. once you get displacement should you swap out blur?
3. Why quicken? I just hit level 7 and I mostly only mostly cast self buffs. Extend would double my buffs time..
1. It's mostly up to personal preference. AC isn't exactly useful unless you're stacking mountains of it, but Resistance is common on items, so the saves bonus might not come into play either.
2. You could, or you could keep Blur cast as a stopgap for those times you forget to recast Displacement. Either way, not that many stellar choices for level 2 spells.
3. For the various SLAs you get, alongside Tentacles and Web, though having a Quickened self-buff on hotbar to refresh temp HPs from Feigned Health is also a decent idea.
Enthusiasm enthusiast enthusiast.
1. Nightshield vs Shield, pick the one you want, both are there for immunity to magic missiles. So it's AC vs Resist - your choice. Shield clickies are easily obtainable, night shield less so.
2. Yeah you can, or you can blur your hierlings/players/self
3. Your buffs last long enough @ 7, Extend is convenient, but only a little. You should never really run out of mana to recast them before you shrine. @ 7th level and up you get to a shrine every 5-10 minutes and all your buffs go down when you shrine, so most of extend's bonus' is lost. The only buff it's good for is displacement (or haste) which is is really useful for - that's the only reason to have Extend IMO. Quicken means you cast everything (except cone/chains) a little faster and it never gets interrupted by damage. IMO quicken is far superior. Turn quicken on and then turn it off manually for your castable 7 minute buffs.
OK so whats needed to take Strintom's Acid build into end game? Whats the feats look like from 21-20? Destinies?
