Default Question About Armor Class Dexterity Bonus

I've been wearing the Ironweave Tunic, which is light armor with a max dex bonus of 7 (the highest I've seen so far). My dex mod increased to 8 upon reaching level 8. Is there light armor out there that will be able to match my modifier in it's max bonus, or should I start looking at wearing robes or outfits instead? I'm mostly ranged with a dabble in melee for certain situations, pure ranger main tree stalker.

no, keep armor on, it gives you prr. physical resistance rating. a couple of armor class points are not relevant.
    storage solution suggestion: Collection

omni-cosmetic system suggestion: Arbiter d'Phiarlan, the Weaver of Guises

Probably the best option at your level is Illicit Warding. Although I wouldn't spend a lot of time farming for it because you'll want Mist-Laden Vestment at level 10 which should last until you get to Sharn.

In the long run, what matters about MDB isn't the AC, but how it caps your Dodge bonus.

too expand upon this just a little further.

Understanding how MDB caps your Dodge bonus is important, equally so is figuring out what % of dodge you can reach currently.

With your modifier at 8 and your MDB capping you at 7

If your current attainable dodge is 7% or less (gear/enhancements you have available) then expanding the MDB is not going to effect your current Dodge but does expand your ability to have a higher dodge as you are able to obtain it.

I agree the PRR of Light armor is not something you want to give up for a single point of AC
