    The DDO game worlds will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 29th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) to release Update 46 Patch 1. Click here for the Release Notes.

    Is it possible to say how much the encounter density was reduced?
    Those are after all the best slayer xp in the game.

    Can I ask what the bonus type for the Elder's Knowledge set bonus is?

    The Greater Elder's Knowledge set bonus now fuctions again and is, "This item set will grant your acid, fire, electric and cold spells a +6% chance to critical hit, and those spells have an additional 10% spell critical damage."

    Default Another Orchard nerf?

    U46 pretty much fixed Orchard explorer issues and I was to able to farm kills normally.
    What's the sudden necessity to neuter Orchard (and TH) spawnrates now?
    Are you going to confirm that it somehow affects other areas and other people in separate instances?
    Or is this some feeble attempt to nerf its XP/min, which made Orchard popular in the first place?

    Default nice, but you DID NOT FIX THE WORST BUG OF SOUL SURVIVOR

    Dear SSG, You mean to tell me you took Soul Survivor offline so you could meddle with it, and at that time you did NOT fix the WORST BUG of that whole quest? The one where if you talk to Dorris while she is kneeling and transforming (with the soul of Issabet going inside the warforged) before she stands up, then the quest is 100% unable to be completed because the main quest objective 'Talk to Dorris' can not be completed. Sure, if I already KNOW about that bug, then i can now wait to talk to Dorris for a minute. Should not have the option to be able to talk to Dorris until after her transformation, after she stands up after kneeling in the small room with the 1 lever and tiny puzzle where you have to complete the mandatory 'Talk to Dorris' quest objective. It happened a few times and we were like ok just restart, but after the last time it happened where I was in there soloing Reaper mode at level and was in there for about an hour and the quest bugged to where i could not complete, i said screw it and chose to not return to that quest. Would be really nice if no one ever had to suffer that experience ever again. Sincerely, Highflow

    Default Death Watches You

    I'm disappointed (once again) to see that a fix for the Death Watches You feat which was meant to be fixed in U45 and then again in U46 does not appear in the release notes for U46.1.

    When will it be fixed? It's been broken for month on my Halfling female.

    You may note that the rest of the sentence that says the spawnrates are being decreased goes on to say that the reasoning is to "reduce load on the server caused by monster pathing." If you aren't sure whether that confirms that this affects other locations, I am pretty sure increased server load affects the whole server. I could be wrong as I am not especially familiar with how servers work but it seems a logical conclusion.

    Bah, that will ruin the only fun wilderness in the game. Its fun exactly because you get to kill hordes of mobs - not to mention good xp.

    Could the devs please take a look at the "Shadowfell mobs"
    The ones that appear in Wheloon, some in Sunrise and anywhere else...
    These Shadows must affect game performance because everytime they
    spawn the game lags for everyone in the party and they've been doing this since inception...
    Would be great to just take a look...

    One of the changes in this patch's "Additional improvements have been made to improve game performance." does include a slight back-end change on those Shadows. Hard to say at the moment if this specific change (or the ~350-400 other similar changes I made in that vein for this patch) will make a meaningful impact, but we are aware of Shadow issues and are looking at them.

    The fact that some changes are necessary is not diminished by the fact that other necessary changes have not happened yet.

    Can we get clarity on just how much Orchard spawns have been reduced? If it is going to take 3-4 hours to get max slayers it is pretty much going to kill the use of slayer pots apart from Kings forest.

    Just concerned given lag as of Update 46 is actually pretty good.

    Default Lowering mob count in slayers areas?

    I don't suppose there are any plans to bring the Slayers quests in line with the reduced mob density? If you need 7500 kills and now there are 25% fewer mobs, shouldn't the kill count requirements also be updated/lowered? (Especially as Orchard and Thunderholme are often considered a couple of the only slayers worth doing these days to begin with).

    lemme read that again - you are correcting typo's including a soarsled poster in sharn docks quest that literally nobody takes any notice of, but are content to still after all this time, have Nimbus get called Maragogg in heroic PoP

    Not down with spawn density nerf unless slayer objective requirements BUT NOT EXPERIENCE is nerfed proportionally as was suggested above.

    Thank you so much for the slayer changes - please keep having a close look and if required, remove mobs once and for all, along with the slayer XP. Next step would be to not allow horses in here, they run through mobs raising Dungeon alerts all over and bringing additional load to the server.

    Also please look into reaper spawns at r8+ - they are spawning in bunches all over the place and every time they spawn, there is a lag. Once again, thank you for all the efforts to combat lag, before we move on to Megaserver (whenever that is).

    Default Possible fix for slayers

    Why not make slayers a single goal of kill 3000 mobs to get all the exp at once and allow it go over the cap, like saga exp so nobody loses anything and the server will have less mobs to handle and we can have more slayer zones to explorer...because orchard was the only good zone right now...thunderholme have a good potential but people are not smart enough to make use of it and just rush the lower floors to find empty rooms and lag the game for everyone instead of killing skeletons @entrance and reset.
