Unable to adjust gamma in windowed full screen

Within the last week or so I'm no longer able to adjust the gamma setting.

Being able to change other settings would also be OK.

I'm trying to find a balance of "washed out" vs "so dark you can't see half the quests".


The .ini file has the old value of 1.32, yet the UI says 1.0 and doesn't allow the setting to be changed.

Windows 10 with auto updates, nvidia graphics, i7 CPU.

I am having this problem. I run in Full Screen (Windowed) so I can move easily between screens. But since I installed Win10 this problem has happened. Now in order to see I have to play in Full Screen and it locks the cursor up in the game screen. Alt+Enter enters to windowed mode to move easily between screens but now it is real dark. Brightness Contrast and Gamma Level all reset to 1.00 or 1.01.

Do you have DirectX9 installed ? You should have installed it, imho. Microsoft just doesn't ship DirectX9.



What works for me is this : Log out or even quit the whole game, then get into it - and the very first thing you do when presented with the character selection screen is to adjust the gamma value !

I have experienced it very often that I just can't adjust it within quests,
so, the only option is to do it outside of quests, or even from within the character selection.
