Game crashed, now unable to log in to my main character, but others work fine

What the title says. I was running Inferno of the Damned with a group, suddenly my game window closed and an error box came up that said "There has been a Game Error" at the top of the window frame, but a completely blank box, no info or anything. Now every time I try to access that character, the game will go to a load screen for 2-3 seconds, then kick me back to the character screen with this message. My other toons work fine. Anyone ever had this happen?

try logging on another server. If you don't have a toon, make one and just get it in game. Then relog to your usual server and try your toon.

Sometimes this works to stop login blocked toons from hanging.

If possible, you might also try using one of the "Transport" buttons. I have not seen that particular error, but I have used the Transport to Eberron option to clear up other character specific logon issues.

Thanks guys, I'll try these out in a couple hours when I'm done working. The issue persisted for at least 2 hours last night. I was able to log on to my other toons fine, and I figured that would clear my main from the instance he was in but the problem persisted. Hopefully it's resolved today

Welp 20 hours later and I still can’t log into Vladtepes. I can log into all other characters, other servers, just fine, but Vladtepes still just gives this generic error message. Anyone have any ideas?

Currently awaiting a response from CS, hoping to hear back soon. I was hoping someone else had experienced this and new a fix. At least there’s Doom Eternal to play in the meantime

My guildie found out what the problem was, figured I'd update. Apparently my VIP sub ran out in middle of a quest, which causes the game to crash. Alchemist appears to be bugged in that it doesn't notify you like I remember the game notifying you if you have an unplayable character. I seem to recall last time my VIP ran out and I had a wood-elf character without the race purchased, my character grayed out with a purchase button for the wood-elf. There was no information on the selection screen, and my character looked normal, and I'd simply get the generic "There has been an error". Turns out I hadn't purchased Alch like I thought I had.
