    Default Share updates public LFM

I've been trying to come up with some sort of way to improve the public LFM system, which I think COULD be a huge boon to us perpetual group leaders, and I came up with another idea that, unlike most, might actually be easy to implement:

Have the public LFM update to a new quest when the party leader SHARES a quest (provided you're not actually inside some other quest instance at the time).

This would make it easier to transition from one quest to the next without the thing you want to avoid, which is having to open the LFM window and manually change the LFM all the time. Is it perfect? No. There are quite a few situations where this would still be awkward--running from one walk-up quest to another in an explorer area, for instance. But I think this would be pretty darn easy to implement (like, three lines of code? WHEN SHARE CHECK IS LFM, if YES UPDATE, if NO, DO NOT UPDATE) and it'd at least give you some rather simple way to quick-update the LFM between quests.

Good grief! You finally had a good idea -in fact a very good idea. I was running Sharn the other day and it was a pain to keep updating the quest. And when I didn't I got people trying to join for the wrong quest.

How would this be different then the auto-public lfm?

I'd support this, though I don't know if searching whether a player has an LFM open is an easy task by DDO's engine.

I'd love for a way to automagically update LFMs, for sure.

Another way would be a small checkbox called 'update LFM' that changes the quest (and posts an LFM if absent) you just entered or clicked the door to, with bravery range (or an option to open for everyone).

Currently it doesn't update your quest unless you actually enter the quest, so people don't have a chance to join until you're already started.

If you're doing quests quickly one after another your lfm is always behind and people think you're in a different quest than you are.

Nice QOL suggestion. Constantly updating the LFM as you progress through a series is a royal pain and most of that pain is due to updating WHICH quest is the current target. The UI is ridiculously painful for that.

A button on the quest-entry panel to "auto-fill LFM" could help a little, but you'd still need to be at the entry.

Also, the default isn't to sort by name, you can't search the list, and the word "THE" in front of many quests just destroys most of the sorting anyway. No one includes the article in their thinking, phrasing, nicknames, or acronyms. So, unless you happen to remember that a particular quest's name starts with "THE" you have to search the list twice -- once without and once with.

Personally, I'd love if they did even more and supported user-supplied quest-chaining in the LFM where it auto-updates the next in the chain when one finishes and let's others "steal" your chain if you put it in an LFM, too. This would help a LOT with the whole "dailies" concept, especially for newbies -- since it's purely a player-driven idiom without any basis in game mechanics.

If we speak about qol - is there a way to get rid of public group pop-ups every time someone with this option selected is entering the quest?

If not i really think option like that should be added. It's extremly annoying that despite the fact that as a leader i selected private group i got those pop-ups every time someone with public group option selected enters the quest. I select level range manually, i select quest manually, i write description manually then one misclick cause i've got attacked without warning by this pop-up: bye, bye lvl range&description - i have to go back to social panel and manually fix this.

    thanks for clarification.

I love how the quest names in the LFM list have no distinguishing between those that officially begin with 'THE' and the rest. It must be really, really difficult for SSG to adjust it
