Gingerspyce's week in videos: Epic Catacombs first look and topics for newer players

We had a lot of fun exploring epic Catacombs and seeing the changes that were made to the zone. Nimvind and I and our guildie Serindepity played through the entire chain on the day of release and it was all captured on the live stream. Nimvind's voice acting skills were put to the test as he voiced Marguerite and Thaddeus Graylight, which nearly brought me to tears. I hope you too get some laughter out of our first experiences with Epic Catacombs in our 2-part series...







If you don't already own Catacombs then this is a good time to mention the DDO Starter Pack, which includes a bundle of goodies as well as the Catacombs adventure pack. Of particular note in the bundle is Elieri Thistledown, which is a permanent level 3 cleric hireling. What makes Elieri awesome is that she has the Divine Vitality ability, which gives about 200 spell points per use so she is a valuable tool in extending your mana pool. I use her a ton! As a gold seal hireling, Elieri can be summoned anywhere in a dungeon (not just at the entrance like regular hirelings) so whenever you need a bit of extra mana she can be summoned to use her DV's. After being dismissed, she can be summoned again in 5 minutes and her DV ability is refreshed and usable again again. At $9.99, the DDO Starter pack is a smokin deal!


Newer Player Topics

I recently made a couple videos of particular interest to newer players. In Taking saga xp after epic reincarnation to go straight to level 24 I show how if you have all your epic and legendary sagas completed that you can collect the xp rewards after epic reincarnating to instantly get back up to level 24!

I also finally tackled a topic that was my most requested over the past couple years. Building wealth in game is a lengthy discussion taken from my Twitch live stream, where I cover topics including haggle, selling on the auction house and shard exchange, pawn shops, farming collectables and valuable gear, etc.
