Default Need advice for fighter and end game viability

Hello all and Happy 2020! Returning player after 5 years. Looking to get all needed advice on how to make my fighter(12)/Paly(6)/Monk(2) viable for end game. I'm only a second lifer with 1st life being a Paly. Looking to boost DPS to where it matters in end game content and Reaper mode. What are the best destinies w/ twists and enhancements to be in? Which item sets should I farm after? (slotting in items like Mists and family sets along with artifact can be challenging). I'm a racial H. Elf 34pt build with +7tome in STR. DEX, CON stats. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Its very difficult for melees to fit in Part of the family and Mist so I would just go with the family. What fighting style do you use?

Pure fighter is viable and strong. That old split no longer is.

While it is true that split is outdated, let's try to do something with it anyway. I would use the +22 STR minor artifact, Legendary Part of the Family and other gear from sharn like the cloak with parrying and insight con +10. Craft a slaver five ring with wis/resistance/quality wis. Use the boots from finding Dorris for +23% doublestrike. Collective sight goggles crafted with CHA/ins CHA. get divine might from knight of the chalice and heavily invest in kensai. Tier 2 ninja spy for more maximum dodge bonus. something like: kensai 34 pts, stalwart 9 pts (extra prr from stance), ninja spy 8pts, shintao 8 pts (extra PRR in tier 2) and rest in knight of the chalice mainly for divine might and maybe some heal amp and exalted smite. Easiest TH weapon to get are probably Black Razor and the falchion Tail of the Scorpion. I would use Fury of the Wild as destiny and twist Confront any Foe, extra action boosts, dance of flower maybe....it really depends how many fate points you have but confront is really good and more haste boost is always welcome. Even if its not the best build i'm sure you can compete in R4 with your adrenaline

This is my opinion too. Pure fighter is going be more dps than just about everything else.

So I took the advice from others but I still cant get this toon to be viable in melee encounters. Details are as follows, 12F/6P/2M H-Elf, I run in LD w/ twists in Sense weakness, dragonhide, running with wind and cocoon. Enhancements are in Kensai(36pts), KoC(35) and point each in stalwart defender and Inquisitive. My Str68, Dex31, CON56, Int21, Wis23 and CHA53. AC92. DBL STK 66% with Melee power at 121. I'm a 2HF w/ Nightmothers GA with prowess and sucker punch filigree slotted. I also have item sets slotted for family and Mists. Thinking I can do better here but not really sure.

How can I better this toon so it matters in melee situations. Its quite comical when I hack away for like 20 secs and others are already onto the next MOB especially in reap. I have other weapons like torn, tail, blackrazor and tremor but cant fit in the filigree.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Open for any suggestions.

Take it with a grain of salt as I'm a melee player of 60+ pastlives and reaper points, but to me your stats you stated as well as your melee power sound really low.

Check out the build I posted a couple pastlives ago: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...d-Wise-Fighter Sure it's a wisdom based fighter (not strength like yours), but I have stats in the order of +30 over what you're stating, as well as a melee power a little over 200... if you don't include Blitz, prowess, opportunity attack or reaper points. With those included melee power goes up another +155, most of it sustainable.

My build details everything, enhancements, feats, destiny, twists, reaper points and gear, augments and sentient filigree that I was using. I even list the self and party buffs that I expect to be able to maintain. And I'm not even saying that build is perfect, I've learned things and figured out ways to shuffle stuff around to make the stats on that build higher at certain levels, including at cap. What I'm saying is that by taking a close look at the build you can probably find some things that I'm using to get my stats that high that you could also use without needing to grind out an extra 10 pastlives to improve your own build.

Try Fury of the wild. LD is no longer viable especially if you are 2hf.

And also first of: make sure you have deadly and accuracy on your equipment. deadly +14 is worth 28 strength. seeker also greatly help. On that build I would really go for the falchion. You have nothing great so you better crit often. Deadly+seeker with a very good threat range=win.

The golden rule with fighter is either go a little or go a lot, never go in between, which is what you did with 12 levels. You want to either splash it with 1~4 or go 18 or 20, I kinda prefer 20 myself as the capstone rocks. Stat was you want Strength and more Strength, the other mode is "Wisdom Falconry" but that's really just code for Assimar Monk builds that use Fighter Levels or the various Inquisitive builds that exist.

You can spend ~41 in Kensei (probably a bit more) and about ~36 in Stalwart Defender for the Str/Con/Defense bonus's and be pretty good at killing stuff while also having a ton of action boosts and tactics DC's for late epics. This makes it extremely viable with Legendary Dreadnought, an ED that match's perfectly with Fighter's strengths. Months back when I was doing martial epic past lives was running pure fighter and just trashing everything in reaper. Had something like 23 Action Boost Hastes that I kept going with the Prowess set bonus and Blitz stacks.
