Lol....Great timing.
I redownload the game after 18 months+ and of course it's DOWN!

Fran you have been missed. We have lacked your tireless advocacy of the underdog and now things have tended more and more to be about single character power at the cost of new players and alts.
I have played as I have wanted to, not how the devs have tried to corner me into, so the fun has continued. Latest expansions have been very good and you will love Keep on the Borderlands, very old school. So they don't always mess up. You can get a horse easily, whoot!

Your timing is actually pretty good because I think you'll like U45.1 more than U45. There were a lot of bugs in this most recent patch (which is at least sort of reasonable-ish since this was a really ambitious update) and a decent chunk of them are being resolved with this update.
THF got a big update. It's going to be a nice boost for some and a mild nerf for others, but overall I think that what they're at least trying to do with THF is good. The devil is in the details, of course. Cleave type attacks got a BIG improvement because now Doublestrike can work with Cleave and things that make your regular attack speed faster also make Cleave type attacks faster so you're not actively losing DPS by doing a Cleave anymore.
Alchemist is really clunky and awkward to play, but there are a few builds that look good for it.
Inquisitive got a BIG nerf. Actually, it got 8 separate nerfs simultaneously. It's still really solid in Heroics, but it isn't the no-brainer choice for "Hmmm. I don't have a specific build I want - guess I'll just pew pew Inquisitive even though my class isn't actively made for that kind of build".
Hope you have a good time back in the game when it comes up this afternoon. There are some problems (as always) but things are pretty good here.
No one in the world ever gets what they want
And that is beautiful
Everybody dies frustrated and sad
And that is beautiful
Cheers for the update.
Is Alchemist a Ranged build then? How'd that happen? Shouldn't it be a Caster?
How's Warlock doing these days?
Is any of my gear going to be even barely viable in Heroic Elite?
How much am I going to have to spend on Expansions post Ravenloft on top of VIP?
I don't know man, this whole Covid thing? You never know, but better be safe than sorry. People fire others from work and this is not cool. My family is on the verge of going bakrupt, and I started to think of selling my mmo accounts maybe. I know this is illegal, but fairness won't fill up your belly, it's tough time folks... If any one's interested in buying an albion account and helping me, would greatly appreciate it. Thankfully I have mine D&D to stick to, but yeh, all went crazy and it's sad.
it can be built as a ranged build, dart thrower or knife thrower. the few people Ive seen do this say they regret it. I tried inquisitive alchemist, its ok, but too many things are immune to the extra poison damage
as most casters are pretty weak at low levels, but alchemist caster is noticeably worse at low levels, they are awful.
by about 8-11 they become ok
then at 12 they are suddenly overpowered. at 12 they feel like a lvl 20 sorc with heals
as far as warlock, they are getting an update soon, 3 new pacts, a cold pact with a bunch of dots, an undead one with necro pact, and a holy one with electric damage on a will save and the sounburst spell at low levels, i expect that one to be the next FOTM build especially for racial TR lives
