So with the advent of U45, my primary alt fled back to heroics as his build (18 Rogue 2 artificer inquisitor) turned into a pumpkin. I had a need to make something to support my son's adventuring (his sorcerer is up to level 15 now on his free to play account). So I TR'd my old inquisitor into a PDK pure fighter in THF configuration.
Some notes:
The new spring attack is really nice. And as a fighter, you can afford dodge/mobility/spring attack because you have feats aplenty. It is kind of like a pounce. It bounces you forward a fixed distance very fast, and seems to hit what you pass through as well as what is next to the endpoint. You can overshoot pretty easily but that's not really a problem. It adds nicely to your tactical mobility.
3x stat modifier on greater THF is really nice. He's nowhere as geared/tomed/past lived as my main, but he's still rocking around +97 on his damage with his wave of sorrow greatsword.
On strikethrough:
You've lost glancing blows, but at level 15 you're at around 140% strikethrough, which means you hit from 2-3 opponents when you attack normally. If you need to hit more than that...well, you've got cleaves, which can now doublestrike and use your attack speed.
For feats you have
7 base feats 1 PDK, 11 fighter.
TFH, ITHF GTHF power attack improved crit slash Those 5 are absolutely mandatory
Weapon focus slash, weapon spec slash, greater weapon focus slash greater weapon spec slash superior weapon focus slash I consider these 5 pretty mandatory too
dodge mobility spring attack These 3 are a good investment
That leaves you with 6 somewhat elective feats
cleave is only kinds optional, so 5
You probably want tactical supremacy and heavy armor champion (the top level in each of these 2 lines) so 3
If you then take great cleave for some extra AE that leaves 2
which will then give you heavy armor master (making the total +21 PRR/MRR) and stunning blow you're set.
