Default This server be dead. (to new players, advice)

    Thelanis: where reapers rejoice.
And where even the forum is dead.

Don't join Thelanis unless you meet the following qualifications:
    -you have 50-70 reaper points
    -you can (minimum) zerg R1
-you play every day for multiple hours nonstop
    -you are VIP
-you are VIP and buy everything SSG offers to you
    -you have 30+ past lives
-you have all additional inventory/bank spaces offered by SSG
-you plan on remaining VIP for the next 20 years/forever
    -you love (TR) trains
links for the following to get you started:
    -https://ddowiki.com/page/Reaper_enhancements
    -https://ddowiki.com/page/Reincarnation
    -https://ddowiki.com/page/Past_Life_Feats
    -https://ddowiki.com/page/VIP
    -https://ddowiki.com/page/Powergaming_Group#Zerging (scroll down to "zerging")

Now, if you don't meet these qualifications, don't worry! You'll just have to watch out for a few things, such as:
-being carried by those who meet the aforementioned requirements!
    -soloing everything otherwise!
-dying of boredom in-game because the server is a ghost town!

Trust me, we are a very exclusive club and do not tolerate stragglers. Only special people get to join this server.
The problem with focusing on the most extreme of players is that that group will only get smaller and smaller... Oof

You know, you're right saying it's a ghost town, however you're wrong in all the rest you said, mostly cause it lacks any semse

Also cause i'm one of all those who don't follow your rules, not only by the vip and such, also by the reaper points and lives, i would say last time i played my main...it has been 2 years lol

Did you get your butt hurt by any reason? Did u meet any elitist jerk we can know its name?
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

Late to reply as too busy on Lamannia and now back to live testing and cosplaying.

But I too would also agree, that other than Thelanis often looking like a ghost-town for LFM's between the hours of 15:00 GMT and 23:00 GMT (Most of the end-game stuff happens after that time, at least, certainly the raids anyway), I haven't seen much by way of having an issue with the aforementioned "requirements" though.

I often roll on Thelanis (and other servers) on "unknown" toons. Often brand new, unguilded, and badly geared out (they don't get hand-me downs in most cases, as I'm testing them for survivability and viability, and hand-me downs just break that testing). And I haven't ran into issues on Thelanis when joining groups. Am I carried a bit? Sure. You can't be good at everything on a first lifer with no gear. So that's perfectly normal. So... It's a bit hard to reconcile what I experience and what OP has experienced in game.

Guessing there's more to this than has been written about as psykopeta mentioned?

If you mean the ASAH Consortium, they're on a break at the moment. And have been for a while from what I know. But they amassed over 30k AS before they went on break.

Unless if there's a new Consortium you're talking about that I'm not aware of?

First off, just know that this post was made for new players and contains true, tested information about what this server really has to offer (as a new player): getting ultra-carried or soloing.

New players aren't like old players. You can intentionally create a bad toon; that doesn't make you a bad player. You have to understand that for these players, this is their experience. Running through adventures on a new toon is exciting; unfortunately, that excitement gets squashed flat when your twink gear IQS build with 100+ past lives comes blazing through, and the first thing he says in the party chat is, "Can we do [insert Reaper or Elite]?" Which is fine, if you're playing in a party where 3 of the guys are rogues and the last one's a tiefling sorc. MMORPGs are designed to be, at the very least, cooperatively played. Telling people being carried is fine in this game is like telling a nurse that he/she can't take care of the patient (because the doctor's doing it all).

Let's just say I went into this game expecting great things and I left extremely disappointed.
No, I'm not a newbie. I know what a TR is, know all the packs, know about bonuses stacking, what reaper is, and know that the majority of players have left (from past accounts). I've seen Axel's adventure pack video, read RoBi3.0s guide to F2P (which doesn't work, seeing as how this game may as well be P2P), and know (from posts) that the Shroud days were the glory days. Just look at the Hardcore Server and compare its population to Thelanis (people seem to get triggered when the "dying population" fact is put up, for no reason).

There isn't a solution to the game. So I might as well warn the newbies off (most/99.99% of them end up leaving half-way through to 20 anyways...)

Also, for AH and ASAH. It's broken now for anybody wishing to "buy stuff". Half the people just use it as a free bank and the other half sell things at the optimal price, just enough to get those with platinum to get it (aka 400k plat 1000 stack Cannith essences, SDSs for 48-68k). Completely unusable most of the time, thanks to platinum's uselessness past a few things...

Funny, I could have sworn some guildies who have lots of toons, lots of reaper points, and lots of experience just helped out some brand new players to the game with plat, supplies, and advice. Even added them to the guild. We also had some guildies return from long breaks and they haven't played in years, don't have any reaper points, or experience, and their gear is very very very outdated. I could have sworn we simply ran with them and helped them out. Guess all that must have been a figment of my imagination.

This is why I transferred all my toons off Thelanis, best money I ever spent.

I just returned to the game 2 months ago after being gone for almost 5 years. I basically had to relearn the game and have had lots of help from others. I don't seem to have any problems finding pugs, found a great clan where everyone is helpful and my toons aren't all powerful. I am having tons of fun with many people so I don't see the problem the OP is having. Sorry they are having a bad time. As for population, yeah it is down but, with so many servers what do you expect. X number of players divided over x number of servers will decrease the population. Add in a Hardcore season and you lose more players.
